@thomas7250 Yes, Taiwanese is a language. It is another Chinese language, distantly related to Mandarin, though Mandarin is, to the best of my knowledge, the official language and the one used in many business dealings.
@thomas7250 Mandarin and cantonese (a dialect of cantonese) are being spoken in Taiwan if I recall correctly. They are one and same language, but since dialectic difference, are incomprehensible to one another.
@thomas7250 ... Hahaha your fuckin funny uhm NOT!.... You must be stupid.. Taiwanese is a language ya dumb shit... Ever heard of "Hokkien" that is Taiwanese language... Get your facts right before you go makin yourself look stupid
@thomas7250 If someone has already replied, sorry. But technically yes, they do speak Mandarin in Taiwan. But, of course, they have their own dialect. It's different enough that it is difficult to understand for a non-native speaker. :)
This is "聽海Ting Hai (Listen to the sea)" bu 張惠妹Zhang Wei-mei, A-mei, a taiwanese singer. The well-known DJ Michael K from Hong Kong mixed this song for a elecronica album called "High Party 2".
