It's misleading to call this a plastic ball tournament. Though plastic balls are used in this event they are drilled in a fashion that would've been illegal during the plastic ball era. In addition the plastic balls that you see here are thoroughly sanded to alter the surface, unlike the plastic balls used in the 60's and 70's. So to present this event as "retro" or one that harkens back to legitimate bowling is strictly marketing and completely false.

They got a plastic ball championship but i think good old urethane championship would be awsome. Plastic i think is too plain. Atleast with urethane you got a variety of urethane bowling balls to pick from.

The more you can play with your axis tilt the better your adjustments will be with plastic.. tom Smallwood would've never found the pocket consistently with his violent ball roll.. parker has a ton more forward roll than Smallwood so im not surprised bohn dominated this match
