  • my two idols singing together!!! ^___^ <3

  • This may seem pathetic but I'm 15 and I love this!I love how when Julie goes up on the stage and then Raven goes up with her,I love their voices together!I really like when Raven sings "He'll praise your eyes" - it sounds good and it's funny how she makes her eyes look xD

  • LOVE Julie Andrews! How brave of her to sing again on film. Her voice. though damaged, is still amazing. Sadly, she lost the octave range that she used to have. This song was specifically written to fit within the parameters of what she is able to handle now. And if you notice, she sort of speaks parts of her lyrics. But still, flawless.

  • Who in the world could dislike Julie Andrews singing, even if it isn't with the same range she had before??? Seriously... it's JULIE ANDREWS for heaven's sake!!

  • I love the guard just starts dancing in the middle of the hall and goes back to boring again. I love guys with beards in purple tights when they dance!

  • Classic Julie Andrews singing on film for the first time since having a throat surgery.

  • when she says "dear little girl you are terribly blessed" i get teary eyed EVERY TIME!

  • raven is from pussycat dolls... is she??

  • @UCanBAnything no, she was in the first two cheetah girls' movies though

  • man.. i really love mary poppins/julia andrews and her beautiful voice... why did her vocal chords have to break after this movie..

  • @UCanBAnything botched throat op in 1997, before this film was made.

  • @UCanBAnything its julie andrews. and it was a vocal opperation in may 1997 that made her lose her voice. but she sued the company and she got 31 million dollars. but her voice is worth much more than that :(

  • AWESOME! XD SHE SANG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • WHEN THE GUARD DANCES: LOL :D

  • 2:18

  • pause then play then hit 1 alot of times same as the following: 1 3 5 6 7 and 8

  • @Robloxia1000 o and 4 :P

  • this song makes me cry :(

  • Julie Andrews is amazing!!! She still sounds great even after her surgery!! <3

  • Memories from my preteen years

  • thumbs up if the ending was the best!

  • I never thought this would happen... MY TWO ROLE MODELS SINGING THE SAME SONG TOGETHER OM G OMG I LOVE THIS MOVIE :)

  • I love this. Especially when the girl with braces dances.

  • raven is really good

  • She still sings beautifully, but her voice is not the same, it's really really good, but she has sung better, sadly

  • this makes me cry with joy...

  • Its like shes not even trying hard to sing..yet she still sounds good enough to reel you in!

  • Julie Andrews is still amazing!!

  • I love her!!!!!

  • What do you know!! She did "sing once more" after all! Julie, you are my hero!!!!! <3

  • She just sounds like an older Mary Poppins to me :)

  • Frickin' amazing...the ageless Dame Julie Andrews seamlessly switches from coloratura to contralto, without missing a beat. And this very clever song officially links her to not one, but two (three?) younger generations- she and Raven are wonderful together!! Never saw this film, but now I think I'd better check it out. Thanks for showing this clip.

  • The hip hop dancer is Ms. Andrew's granddaughter

  • love this song!!!

  • God these were good times back then

  • the guard breaks it down. lmao

  • Oh, poor Julie Andrews. I love her so much and for her to lose her voice is just heart breaking! :(

  • I love her doing this, she said in one interview I read that it took a lot (emotionally, physically and mentally) for her to be able to just do this part because of what happened to her but she did enjoy being able to sing again, even just this little bit, she wasnt fully thrilled about Disney asking her to do it but she was glad she did it in the end.

  • the girl at 2:00 is a crack whore nowadays

  • @rhysj987 uhmm that's julie andrew's grand daughter, Hannah Schneider :O

  • thumbs up if you were heartbroken when you found out genova wasent a real country

  • I was so sad Genova wasn't real.

I wish it was!!! Julie Andrew's is amazing! I wish she could sing more

  • @ThePaopuFruitLover Yeah, it's just made up.

  • @ThePaopuFruitLover I was the saddest boy in the world for a while....

  • @ThePaopuFruitLover its not real?!? D: jk i knew.

  • Raven is the luckiest girl i the world, what I would actually give to sing and be in the arms of Ms.Andrews is amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!! <33

  • This is one song that noone ever truly gets sick of or outgrows. Its just... fantastic!

  • Miss the old Anne Hathaway ....

  • My gosh, it strikes me every time how beautiful and classy Julie is. A true English lady...and her voice...her voice is still so beautiful. I love her! One of my favourite actresses of all time.

  • I cry every time I see/hear this song. In the special features they talk about how guys with tattoos were crying during this performance.

  • She lost her voice yet she sings wonderfuly, how lovely!

  • I wish I was Raven, singing in the arms of the best actress ever!

And singing with the best singer ever!!

  • @Iranaa I totally agree with you. I wish I was raven too and singing in the arms of Julie Andrews, a stunning actress, a really amazing singer and a wonderful lady!! I LOVE JULIE <3

  • the dancing guard is the funniest part!

  • I've watched this movie over a 100 times. When i first watched it i didn't even know who was Julie :) I liked her so much in the movie....Now it's my favorite actress :) Love you julie!!!!!

  • My favorite song in the movie. Thanks so much for posting it.. I listen to it daily. Love Julie!!!!!

  • omg gave me chills i love julie andrews and raven samone isnt a bad signer either together it sounds beautiful

  • I love this song. I wonder if she ever really noticed how many girls look up to her?

  • that must have been so sad when she found out that she couldn't sing again. i wonder how she feels whenever she hears herself sing back then.

julie andrews is still so amazing, and i admire her.

i also love this scene! sleepover with julie andrews singing and matress surfing!

  • it so glad can heard Julie Andrews sing again :D She my no.1 idol forever

  • i want her to be my grandmother T.T such a wonderful woman

  • Julia Andrews= Anna in the King and I= priceless

  • so jelous of RAVAN

  • 1:16- absolutely wonderful

  • this song makes me cry!!! I love Julie sooo much!! Her voice sounds great and any songs she sings whatever her singing range sounds perfect to me! =D

  • Julie Andrews was very apprehensive about this performance as it was the first time she'd sing in public in 6 years. So the director told her she could veto it at any time and it would not be included in the movie.

How lucky is Raven that she got to sing with Julie Andrews? especially after she hadn't sung in public for so long.

  • This Over produced calamity is FAR Too tacky for a voice as sofisticated as Andrews'.

  • I think this melody is so beautiful, I just love it.. Love the movie too.

  • I'd heard about her (Julie Andrews') operation and that her voice wasn't all that good anymore, but seriously, I'm at 0:15 right now and already I love her voice in this song!

  • I love this song!!! When i watch the movie every time this part comes on I always end up rewinding it a million times and my mom always has to tell me to stop or i'm gonna break the CD! O_O rofl

  • It is so touching to see Julie Andrews sing again. She is still lovely

  • He'll praise your eyes~

I love Raven's voice at that point

  • personally i like both raven and Julie they are both really good.

  • Although her voice kinda damaged after the surgery and she can't get back her perfect voice shown in the Sound of Music, she hasn't lost her spirit. She is a legend. Bless her.

  • @mmmaaairia actualllt she will be able tooo.... She going to go under a treatment to restore it... just an octave lower

  • love this song!!!!! xxx♥

  • Hearing Julie sing anytime after she had surgery makes me cry a little...

  • @Broadway2010 if i'm not mistaken, this is the first time she sang after her surgury is it not??? Why did she have a surgery do you know?

  • @stephanieb88 I think it's the first time she sang for anything big, yeah.

  • @breeismaname yeah that's what I figured, cause I couldn't recall her singing after her surgury until this!

  • Hey everyone do you that Julie Andrews was the one who came up with the name supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!!!!!!! (:

  • Julie Andrews is such an inspiration

  • this movie was so awful. But Julie Andrews is so amazing, she redeems it whenever she's in a scene.

  • Her voice sounds lovely after all these years :)

  • she can't sing the way she used to because she had surgery - and her voice never came back to what it used to be. :( so sad. she had a magical voice.

  • She got this perfect on the first take... :') She's so amazing.

  • i wish she could still sing like she used...

  • Leave it to the amazing Ms. Andrews to adapt her voice post surgery with a new register. And she still sounds so damn good. She is a pure treasure. I love her. And Julie is singularly Julie and not comparable to anyone else. Let individuals stand unto themselves and do not compare people with others. We are all unique in this world.

  • love this film sooo good

  • This song is to short!

  • I happen to think Julie Andrews sounds as beautiful as before.

  • @ks368459 Agreed!

  • "Julie Andrews' voice spanned four octaves until it was damaged by a throat operation in 1997."

    --- Wikipedia

  • @jsarahina I don't trust wikipedia anymore. I looked up Carrol Burnett and it said that she had died...ugh she's still alive and healthy.

  • @jsarahina Actually 5. I watched an interview with her about her autobiography

  • the guy that dances is priceless :D

  • @greekdeva7 I couldn't agree more!

  • Julie Andrews still sings better than most people in the world!! Love her!

  • She just found a new way to use her voice: through children's books

  • The girl at 1:58 who jumps onto the stage is Julie's granddaughter, Hannah. She recommended her because Gary Marshall wanted someone who could do 'hip hop dancing'. Gary's grandson is in the film, his granddaughters are mentioned and are in the first one, and Hector's (Joe) granddaughter is seen in the first one playing the Prime Minister's daughter. LOL. A lot of relative cameos. Anne Hathaway's mom even plays the orchestra leader and Gary Marshall's daughter is Charlotte, the assistant. :) x

  • Julie, no matter what has happened to your voice, you still sound as amazing as ever here, speak singing or not for some of it. So jealous of Raven here!!!! :) Lovely lady x

  • raven is an amazing singer!! i love her!

  • i know i was only 11 when this came out, but ever since i had been little, i had been watching and listening to julie andrews's performances and i had resigned myself to the fact that I would never hear Julie Andres singing now, so when I was watching this movie and she started singing, i started crying.

  • This is like the best part for me in the whole movie I love Julie Andrews and Raven they both where awesome but I will always love Julie Andrews more specially after the Sound Of Music and Mary Popins.

  • @AllyTheIrishFaire how do u know tht they cried on set???

  • @GlitzGyrl101 if i remember right gary marshall the director said some of the guys were welling up in the extra's from pd2 dvd

  • @GlitzGyrl101 i read about it somewhere. it was the sound crew cried. i probably would've if i'd been there.

  • Julie Andrews had throat surgery in 1997 and this was her first performance of a song since then. Apparently she was so brilliant that people actually cried on the set.

  • @AllyTheIrishFaire how come? she didnt get like one of those.. noads things did she?

  • @broadwayxdude06 i dunno exactly what it was, but her throat had been damaged

  • @AllyTheIrishFaire her throat was damaged in 1997 by a throat operation.

  • i always DIE when the guard starts to dance and then returns to normal hehe

  • come on guys, obviously julie is the far superior singer but i'm sure she would've praised raven humbly when they did the song

  • i love Julie Andrews voice and Raven's their both 50/50 to me. My mom misses Julie Andrews voice. i wish she would live forever. u know she didn't want to sing at first

  • The fact that some ppl dislike this makes me sad T__T

  • OMG, I remember this like it was yesterday!! Lol. :) I miss the "Princess Diaries" movies!! :) I remember buying the soundtrack to the movie just for this song, because, I was soo obsessed with it!! :) I still love it!! :) Go Julie Andrews and Raven-Symone!! Lol. :)

  • julie andrews is the best! she has a five range octave

  • I thought she lost her singing voice

  • @Tsukino101 she sorta did but she got it back..but her range never came back ..so she cant reach any of the high notes she used to

  • @jaypaidincash Aw that sucks... well at least she's singing again. That's better than nothing, right?

  • @Tsukino101 yes its wayyy better than nothing..she has some range however..but NOTHING close to how much range she once had

  • does anyone know what the song is called when fat louis (the cat ) and maurice (the dog) are running after each other out of the kitchen ? ( In princess diaries 2 )

  • Don't ask me why but that little girl just pisses me off, I don't know why! But the dancing guard gets me every time!

  • isn't she ummm julie andrews grandduaghter or something along those lines..

es the guard is BEYOND awesome

  • @aimlesschicka You know, I'm not sure, she might be! And yeah! Guard for the win!

  • I hate this movies. But Julie is Julie.

  • Apparently Raven cried of happiness when she was told she was going to sing with Julie Andrews.

but, i guess, who wouldnt cry???

  • Oh my god. I'm so jealous of Raven. What an honor it should be to even sing with Julie Andrews. That women is the Goddess of music.

  • HAHA the doorman dancing!

  • i love this the funniest pert is with the man at her door and i love raven

  • JULIE ANDREWS FTW <3

  • This scene and song is expceptionally amazing! Julie Andrews is a legend! Her voice with Raven's combines miraculously! Two Thumbs Up!

  • she may not be able to do the high notes but her voice is still a work of art!!!, she has that softness in her voice which works well with raven!!

  • i wish they had let anne hathaway sing more!

  • i just love her face wen the music changes, it cracks me up :)

  • The movie if I remember was kinda so so as a whole to me compared to the original which I kind of liked, but I did love this scene. Yes Julie Andrews may have neede dsurgery and doesn't sound quite as good as she used to, but she still looks and sounds stunning! Besides it was 36 years afte stuff liek Sound of Music. NO ONE sounds like they did in their thirties when their in their 70's. But she sure does sound better than most probably do. SHe really steals the show here.

  • @balrog13571 she's gonna have a new surgical process when it becomes available to restore her cords. Should be very interesting to see what her voice sounds like after that!

  • @flaze3

    Yeah it will.

  • @flaze3 I hope its works, when the news came out about her surgery going so very wrong I cried.

  • I remember Julie Andrews as Mary Poppins.

  • I found this very imaginative video from Breton2Robert called Julie Andrews: A Few Notes. Very original

  • like!

  • I'll never get tired of watching this scene...

    One of my favorites^^

  • what an honor to be able to sing with Julie andrews! :) Raven is so lucky! :)

  • how hot is julie andrews' nightwear? god, that woman is a dream! she can crown my glory!

  • to hear julie sing :)

  • OMG this is SUCH an awesome song!!! i love it when the butler in the hallway starts to bust some moves! XD

  • Wonderful song

  • These two are just awesome.

Both lives in my childhood memories.

    Julie andrews ftw!!

  • i LuV WhEn RaVen StArTz SiNgInG WiTh HeR

  • beautiful. i know julie andrews doesn't have her old voice anymore... but it's still lovely to hear her sing at all.

  • Julie certainly doesn't have the range that she used to, but hearing her sing at all is still amazing to me. *sniffles*

  • @breeismaname she had throat surgery that didn't go so well so she can't sing like she used to =(

  • @lemosherbert Oh, I know. I am glad some of it is coming back though. =)

  • Comment removed

  • @breeismaname did she die?

  • @petfan1202 No...

  • Does anyone have the sheet music for this?

  • raven sounds really good, and i love the harmony!!

  • she is so beautiful ............... can she still sing high notes

  • why is everyone trying to compare raven with julie?

you just cannot do that. raven is a minor singer with a good, but otherwise common voice. while miss andrews remains one of the most sublime entertainers of all time.

and please do not compare their singing, due to the fact that they are 50 years apart in age.
