i've got an iphone 3gs 3.1, and i jailbrok it, and i downloaded "extremewifi", i think it had this problem before,my settings wifi doesnt detect ANY network im guessing its NOT a hardware problemsince when iuse "extremewifi"it detects it fast&everything, but only THAT network that is connected is showed on the setting's wifi..and if ilok it after a while it will disconect,&dont connect automatically how can i fix this? is it because of the jailbreak?

I have an iPod touch 3g 32gb bought recently. It already has 3.1.2 firmware in it, but in order to restore it in 3.1.2 i can't do it in iTunes, so i have to download it, right? followed the link (felixbruns) and download ipod touch 3.1, 3.1.2 (7d11) firmware, shift clicked update and tried to restore it, but it states that my ipod is uncompatible with the firmware.... can anyone help ?

ok so i jailbroke my 2G 3.1.2 firmware ipod touch recently with blackra1n like last night everything works great and had no problems with my jailbreak but when ever i turn my ipod off it goes into recovery mode when i turn it back on!

it means that if its unlocked for use with another carrier other than at&t and you upgrade it your unlock feature will go away and you will potentially never be able to unlock it agin

if you bought it on the optus network and your still using that network it would be fine, but if you are using it on a different network there is no unlock yet so you wouldnt be able to use that sim card.

I m not very clear about factory unlocked iPhone 3GS but you should ask for help in forums to the people who are the same case like you. But if its fact unlocked it shouldnt be a problem in your case . But please check it first , I dont want to say bad things and then you got problem. And thanx for the comment ! subscribe ;)

well I was feelin kinda desperate so I just Restored and updated to 3.1.2 and then used blackra1n to jailbreak my 3GS.. and no problems so far :D and no need to worry about the baseband due to the fact it's already factory unlocked so everything is working and runnin on 3.1.2 jailbreak.. and btw, Blackra1n fastest and best jailbreak so far!! really easy to do and succeeded on first try :D.. thnx for the video.. rated 5 stars

If you dont mind about unlocking just update to 3.1.2 and use blackrain to jailbreak it. If you want to unlock , its better to wait for an unlock and then jailbreak. You are in the same situation as me , I am on 3.1 and I am waiting for an unlock . But you can jailbreak it if you want now.

Sorry Im noob but What does JB and unlock mean? The JB is when I can install all the aplications/games for free... and unlock is when I can use sim card from an other operator/provider ?  isn it?

its alright , we all have to learn , you are not a noob xD ! Jailbreak allows you to do alot more then a non jailbroken iPhone. You can get Cydia 's app that on App store you can't find and also get cracked official games and apps from App store or customize your iPhone like icons, background, number of icons in a range... and ye unlock means you can call everywhere in the world instead of being limited in 1 country by the career you got.
