@ozorg If that bugs you, you've got a ways to go before you're ready to be a mixing engineer. I'd bet Dave doesn't register a single lyric when he's working. It's all simply frequencies and how they occupy sonic space and interact with each other. The lyrics might be crap, but at least he's working with nicely recorded vocal tracks.
One of my favourite methods of predelay possibly the oldest one is to send tape delay into the reverb.

Another GREAT "ITL" segment DAVE and Zan!!!
The depth and sound of the reverb really comes through... even over the web and through computer speakers.
