Good job. I plan to teach my pup, Jackie, to do the same thing. The mice here are thus far too smart, though. I've put out several different versions of traps and they've outsmarted all of them. Thanks for the instruction. And as for what's the point -- mice are RODENTS. They spoil food and feed, spread disease, and do bazillions of dollars' worth of damage. This is a vastly superior method of controlling them to rodenticides. Moreover, it gives a good dog a good outlet for its passion.
What's the point of this?! If the dog catches the mice himself, then it's not that bad, but to capture mice yourself just to get your dog to get them is just cruel! Just realease the poor mouse when you capture them, instead of making them a toy for your dog... The dog knows what to do if he find them himself, it's his instinct...
i got a question that i need an answer for. is a shnauzer shih tzu made for any type of hunting? like could it be trained like this JRT. i know that JRT were bred for this but i was just wondering if i could do the same for my little mut.
for ppl who think its wrrong Jack Russell`s here bread to hunt mice its better then a cat because there would be mouse parts every where :/
