he is not sakura, he is a filler vilain called Gensho, who uses some kind of weird technique to make training poles come to life and attack. He also has an illusionary technique which makes Lee and Gai think they are fighting training poles, but they discover (through theur techniques) that they are fighting each other. I guess thats all :D

actually no, not an Illusion, he's matching the movments of Gai and Lee with Dummys in 2 diffrent rooms, so Lee and Gai go crazy to over exsert the dummies and break them. if it was just an illusion, Gai would have known how to get ride of it, easy.
