I love the older stuff U2 put out. Ever since Joshua Tree their sound changed. I understand bands evolve but the older material still sounds better, to me anyway. YMMV.

i just love this song to death. its so complex textural and eerie. i remember well when i heard this on my sisters tapes. i imitated every word of bono's. '84 +15 yrs old. timeless.

I agree...this and Joshua Tree are 2 of the best albums ever done!!! this song is also too short...meaning that its "so good" it should be much longer!! ive always felt that way too...i want it to go on so much longer than the short 2:32 that it is!!! Probably my favorite U2 song, but theres so many great U2 songs, its hard to have #1, #2 etc.

this song is totally timeless and pure, if it was released tomorrow, it would be a new u2 song,the sign of genius,considering it was recorded in 83/84, that is pretty far out...plus larry is using brushes ala pete de freitas..the only other instance of larry playin brushes is drowning man, another timeless song...larry!..get them brushes out of the attic..RIP PETE DE FREITAS...the second most innovative drummer of his time..and then came Ren, listen to killing moon, then going down ,stone roses

i liked u2 from boy (and before) to joshua tree. Boy, October, War, Un4gettable Fire, Joshua Tree were like the greatest albums any band could release. Rattle & Hum was also good but it had too many live versions of previous songs for me 2 consider it as a proper album. Achtung Baby - No Line On The Horizon sound like they have been made by a different band although i still like some songs - So Cruel, Stay (Faraway, SO Close) but the rest have been quite bad.
