  • Guys, if you love big engines with loads of power. Go to Google and type in "Riverina Screamer" Its a yellow tractor, read up on it (very smart man who built it)

  • really an enjoyable sound

  • That's what happeneds when u give a American something truly amazing, they go America-nize it.

  • @mudaphucker: This is what happens when an American posts his property online.

Some jealous European comes along and talks shit about it. Envy green isn't a pretty color on anyone mate.

  • You are coorect, we were running it off the can of fuel. We just had to drive...could not wait any longer! We will post a new video soon as much has changed. thanks for your support...this whole thing is about having fun with shapes. When i was a kid in the aerospace museum, I decided that someday I would put an airplane engine in a car...John

  • were you running that beaut off of that jerry can i saw in the back of it?, if not, what was the jerrycan for?

  • @NJPurling

You bring up great points. I attempted contact Rolls Royce however they did not respond. Techinically this engine is a variant of the RR merlin. It is RR technology made under license by Rover. The Meteor has many common features with the Merlin except is has more coolant passages in the heads and obviously has carburetors. We lowered the intake system to soften the looks. We are also going to mount moveable vertical louvers on the side of the engine compartment.

  • Is Rolls-Royce distinctive grille design copyright? R-R sued someone who made a special with a Meteor engine.

Maybe it is only if you use a R-R badge or mount the Flying Lady on the radiator cap.

Make a R-R shape radiator surround but have a honeycomb grille.

Anyone else think the drag strip air intake doesn't look right?

How high are the stock carbs. If they are lower you can then fit a bonnet if needed & have a discreet air intake moulded into it

  • whats buirning?

  • @hoplite46

Actually that is steam. We have two radiators, one front and one rear. We originaly tried to fill both radiators from the front. The result was that not enough water made it to the rear radiator and it started to boil over. Since that video we worked out a system to adequately fill the hidden radiator and we have had no issues at all.

  • @johnandersen3 shes a beauty anyway

  • all the time!!!!

  • How 'bout leavin' some rubber, dickwad? Y'ever thinka that??

  • @absoftitanium he will when you leave a video

  • what transmission are you using :)

  • @badslabber ,

The transmission is an Allison B400 six -speed automatic used in large buses, firetrucks, etc. The B400 is not related to the GM turbo hydramatic 400 used in pickups and other veicles. The B400 in this car is all aluminum unit and still weighs 750 pounds all by itself. it will handle up to 2000 ft/lb's of torque.

Not cheap, but I did not want to risk damaging the transmission!

  • Way cool.. But I would definitely use a Rolls grille and different fenders, to make it look more like a Silver Ghost... The Ford grille is much too small.

  • Y'know - I repaired probably what? - 30K little engines since early seventies and the best part is firing it up and having it run crisp... then gettin' to smell one's own hand oils burnin' off the pipes! THAT is essense of gearhead!!!!! I love what you've done here... E.J. Potter can make that meteor really sing. WOULD HE? Don't know. Really really cool car, man, thanks for sharing.

  • If you can't rev it, don't drive it.
