very nice job my friend sounds great, to answer your question I personally think the guitar sounds far superior when your mic'ing it up as oppose to plugging in direct it looks like you have a decent condenser mic?

and also btw just out of interest the B and high E are tuned differently?

its giving it a more natural tone anyhows when mic'ing the guitar up :)

Hey man, thanks for the comments on the tone- I have a Carvin CM87 condenser mic that is of fairly good quality. About the tuning, yeah the high E is tuned down to a D for this song (and for anyone else reading this keep in mind that I'm tuned 1/2 step down from standard, as well)
