"Salon Kitty"was a HETEROsexual bordello abused by the SS +NOT a homosexual one.
The story is widely well-known in post-war Germany +what made everybody laugh in the end was that 1943 Dutch UFA movie star Johannes Heesters (who is still alive at the age of 108!) moved into Salon Kitty - confusing it with a high-class guesthouse+rented several of the whores´ rooms for himself !
The SS did not dare to throw Heesters out of the etablissement-he was public darling in Berlin!
Sex scenes, nudity, violence... many people get offended with those. Hipocriticals! All of what is showed in Tinto's movies lays in our ordinary days or, at least, in our imagination. He's one of the brightest moviemakers ever, he gave to the erotic cinema glamour, charm... and also roughness to the reality, as it has indeed.
His movies are not erotic cinema - they simply use certain techniques of erotic cinema as part of the universe of the surreal setting he creates.
"Caligula" and "Salon Kitty" are much like Russ Meyer films; sex is used liberally simply to demonstrate the human everyday obsession with sex... it's not the focal point necessarily.

it is filled with sex violence, but yet i love this film. along with caligula and all tinto's films...

I saw this in New Zealand at the theatre in 1984. It was strictly R21 and most of the people there watching were middle-aged and older.
