this is wat i think... that portal is above there wen u flip the tower u will fall in it and be warped were u would wen the screen shrinks in. that or another theory that the portal is the path to the hevans and they build the tower so they could invade and kill the goddeses because if u look at at the intrance to ikana canyon(termina feild) u will see these satues of a demon licking the triforce therefore the terminions didnt have a good relation ship with the goddeses

I love the Tower of Babel theory. Ancient Terminieans Built a tower with hands and phallic symbols pointing to the sky, saying fuck you to the godesses. When they were at Heaven's gate, the godesses turned the world upside down, leading the portal to Hell instead, where Majora's Mask was found.

The portal is the Gate to Heaven. However, since getting to it is impossible right side up, the godesses made sure that the castle would be reversed, and lead into Hell instead.

It's weird, whether the Stone Tower of Babel is over-analysing the game or whether it's very true is besides the point. . . There's a very dark element to Majora's Mask and I've always thought that. Perhaps there is some sort of deeper meaning to it all?

@TuahShinguru Because the theory says that the goddesses released the mask. And the goddesses also reversed the temple so that the people who wanted to offense them fall in Hell. So, that why the mask is normal when the temple is reversed : because it represents the devil.

my problem with that theory was how far people took it. It was originally made by hylian dan to prove a point. but his point wasnt that majora's mask si linked to christianity and all that.

what im saying is that zelda takes inspirations from other stuff all the time, and its no suprise there is a bible reference. but even so that doesnt make majora's mask your own personal worship. hylian dan just brought up the tower of babel because he noticed the two stories were similiar.
