the portion on blind players is very interesting and awesome to hear their perspectives of developing imaginative scaffolding of the worlds with the mind.
I remember playing the Infocom games (the Zork series was my favorite) and they were enjoyable although at times it could get frustrating trying to figure out some of the puzzles of a particular game. I am looking forward to seeing this video.
The only thing I wonder about is if it focuses purely on old-school Infocom type games, or if it also looks at the new Interactive Fiction, like Emily Short and all that?
Jason's BBS documentary is truly outstanding. If you liked it, and you're excited to see Get Lamp, please pre-order a copy and show your support. I just bought mine.

I hope this movie sees the light of day. I really miss those days when I came back home with a new game and spent hours trying to solve it. Thank you for making this.
I don't think this a very good teaser - it doesn't say much at all about the film's subject matter in concrete terms. It's too esoteric. You say more in the description at right.
I think IF (or "Text adventures", which was the way I knew them in the 8 bit times) is a interesting theme enough to make a documentary. Videogames are a primitive kind of art... Perhaps this genre is one of the most advanced ones! Don't know, I've returned to the IF stuff recently! ^^ Good luck!
>West A small clearing. >West Edge of forest. >West The Forest >West The Forest >West The Beach >West I cannot go that way. >West I cannot go that way. >! I don't know what you mean.
I have been looking forward to this documentary ever since I first heard about it - especially after watching the BBS doc from the same folks. Can't wait!
i love how there's a lamp in the background of every shot.

Best text-adventures were on TRS-80. Raka-tua (spelling?) was one of them.
