We have the Salvation Army here in America too, But I've never saw it as a church like here on Prisoner. We have Catholic, Protestant, Jewish,Mormon, Muslim,Christian Science, and Scientology.

I wish women could wear hats and gloves again. I think they're pretty. Now, they go to CHURCH in slacks. They're aren't many women that still dress for church. The only people who really still dress for church here in the US are African Americans, The women wear beautiful white and black and red dresses and beautiful hats, and the men dress in suits and ties.
I don't really go to church, I'm atheist, but I always go on Christmas with my mother. It totally baffles me that adults and kids just where shorts and t-shirts. I always were a tie and good shorts or pants when I go to church, even if I don't really believe in it. I think church is one place you should dress up a little.

I think that sometimes Patsy King's acting is really wooden. In my opinion Gerda Nicolson was a much better actress (future governor Reynolds). But I do love the character of Erika Davidson, and the way she plays it.
I prefer Erica, as Ann Reynolds was a bit straight-laced (though good actress). Erica was unintentionally funny and quite campy and loved her scenes with Lizzie or Vera.
After watching all these episodes again I think Patsy King's acting is a lot better than I seem to remember. I will concede that Erica is a lot more comical; she is certainly very camp!
I love Patsy King, she's such a lovely actress to watch, compassionate and believeable. She really is my favourite. Joint 2nd place has to be Fiona Spence and Sheila Florence. Their comedy timing and Fiona's delivery of lines is priceless.
@igetwet My favorite one is Sheila Florence, then my second is Fiona Spence. Lizzie was one of the best and Vera was so lonely and had no one. Plus she really cared for Lizzie. I don't know why she never told Lizzie how much she liked her.
@igetwet Fiona Spence would have been a better Governor than Patsy King. King was too pompous for the part! And Spence was able to show compassion also! After all Vera did let Birdsworth out for the day!
