  • Jeremy is the best skater these days! He can kick Lysacek and Plushenko any day! Rock on! Johnny is great to but Jeremy is better!

  • what music is he skating to?

  • Jeremy's freeskate music is: "Symphony No. 3 in C minor" by Camille Saint-Saens

  • THANKS!!!!!!! I HAVE that on a CD and I also think parts of it were used in the movie "Babe"!!!

  • does anyone know the title of the music piece jeremy is skating to here? I have it in the back of my mind but can't think of it and it's driving me nuts!!!

  • saint-saens 3rd symphony ("organ")

  • THANKS!!!!!!! I HAVE that on a CD and I also think parts of it were used in the movie "Babe"!!! Ah!! the power of the internet!!!

  • He's definitely the best =D

  • man, that first quad gave me shivers...

  • Could Hamilton please get off Lysaceks dick? My god, he mentioned him more than he did Abbott himself. Besides, Abbott's footwork, transitions, interpretations and music is leagues better than Lysacek this year.

  • @yolandaq

couldn't agree with you more. Not only does Abbott have a wonderful sense of musicality the quality of his jumps, spins edges, footwork is miles better than Lys's. When both skate cleanly Lys's programs are mundane (unless he's throwing his arms and body around and contorting his face to express his idea of art) and Abbott's programs are athletic works of art. He really has the potential to be GOAT.

  • I think that is the most beautiful quad ever! Hope Jeremy has a great season!

  • If he does all of the elements that he has planned in this program, it could certainlybe a gold medal winning program. He combines so many more elements that the rest fo the competitors. He reminds me of Kulik in that aspect.

  • now I'm in love with him! such an amazing, elegant program.

  • pretty good skate, hes gotta stick some of the landings a bit better . great spins! very fast, and.. .. a very sexy guy ;p

  • GREAT skate. I just hate Scott Hamilton...why is he going on and on about Evan (who isn't even here) during JEREMY'S skate???

  • Uh... because Scotty is an idiot? LOL He luuurves Evan to death, never appreciating Jeremy's artistry. Jeremy taking a page from Evan's book on footwork??!! Oh please. Jeremy is 786 times better than Evan when it comes to edgework and musical interpretation.

  • Actually, he brought up Evan to discuss the quad jump. If an American man is going to medal or WIN in Vancouver...they must perform quad jumps. Period. Lysacek has been the only American man who frequently attempts the quad. Jeremy went for it here and landed it. So he brought up Evan to illuminate the entire picture, not just Jeremy's skate, but the condition of skating in the men's event in the US.

  • It would certainly help the American men in their quest for gold if they land a quad, but it is NOT a must. Did you see the last two world championships??? In the past two seasons, Evan has landed only one clean quad (4CC) and Jeremy is now at two. Every single element that Jeremy does is better than Evan's. Jumps, Spins, Footwork, Speed, Edges, Choreography. If Jeremy goes clean, Evan doesn't have a prayer so I don't think the comparison, as Scott put it, is relevant.

  • Actually the quad is a must. Statistically speaking it is a must if you're facing Plushenko. Plushenko WILL be attempting the quad combo in the short program in Vancouver, he'll boost up some of his elements as well. The judging panel is exclusively European, mostly eastern block. They will favor him. With a lead like he had in Torino, he's sealing the deal. The US men must land a quad combo in the short to have any chance of catching him...assuming he's clean. I have the math to prove it.

  • Wrong again. The highest scorer of the season is Nobunari Oda, who outscored Plushenko WITHOUT a quad. Like I said, the quad certainly helps, but it is not a must.

  • Actually I'm not wrong. Plushenko's scores are slightly lower than normal because the levels on his non-jump elements were down slightly (he'll raise them) and he popped a planned lutz in the short. Had those levels been higher and the lutz been a success, he would've scored 88.25 instead of 82.25. Also, he omitted a planned 3 jump combination in the long and had only one quad. If he had added those, he would've scored much higher. Oda's TOTAL is just 2 points higher.

  • "Woulda, shoulda, coulda..." The point is that he DID omit those elements. The other men could improve their elements and PCS as well. You never know which skaters will skate clean (and clean today means remembering to get the highest levels on spins and footwork and no downgrades) and who will make mistakes. I stand by my statement that the quad is helpful, but not a must. I'm also pretty sure that Plush's PCS scores will go down when he's competing against men who have real choreography.

  • @kwadruple : considering the bull shit that the judges have been toying with recently, plushenko will be given sky high PCS scores and almost assure him of a medal, if he does go and compete in the olympics (if he recovers from the injury in time)

  • I agree...just b/c Evan is world champion (only b/c other skaters underperformed) doesn't make him the standard of men's figure skating today. Not even close. Jeremy is a much better overall skater. I also agree with littlebrit2007 about the footwork...Jeremy's footwork (and musical interpretation) has been better than Evan's frantic "armwork" sequences for many seasons now.

  • ITA. Such an intricate, difficult program is not for everyone. Sometimes this guy looks as if he's not skating to a music but actually playing it with his skates and body. He is in another league from those "desperately trying to look like dancing to a music" skaters, namely Plush, Babou, Evan... :)

  • @snafkin2008

My feeling exactly. The polyphony of music and movement. Quite extraordinary.

  • He is the best male ice skater I have ever seen in my life. The US is fortunate to have Jeremy.

  • Definitely one of the best ever.

  • With the quad, Jeremy is not in the running to get the gold. He has something that Evan hasn't had in years, has chereography Plushenko could only dream about

  • great job!!!!!

  • I must say... he is an excellent spinner and his quad was so tight and clean with a great edge coming out of it. I wish him well for the rest of the season!
