I sincerely wish I had the money and the necessary skills to become a dentist for individuals with special needs. I would love to manage and own a practice that assist individuals with special needs for their medical care an all in one vision, dental, medical building with an Emergency Room Center with all the tools of an ER in a serene environment located in communities thorughout the world.
@Thomasnolaniscool It's possible. The autistic birds are probably the ones building the most beautiful nests and are obsessively caring for their young...the young autistic birds? They are probably those out there baffling bird researchers....
Theres lots of shitty doctors out there who barely passed in school. I had a couple physics teachers tell me they failed more pr-med students than pre-law. It;s glad to see you actually call them out though.
@bavarianwerks Ha ha. Yes, there doctors we've met that just blow my mind. I am frankly astonished that they would choose to work in medicine, when all they seemed to care about was rushing us out the door and going to lunch. Then again, we have an excellent female primary doctor who is just amazing. One of the best doctors my son has ever had. Her secret? She listens. She tries new things we bring to her. She cares. She doesn't give up. She understands our son.
Alex gets SIB when he is hurting or irritated. Recently he developed severe hives after eating strawberries. Took him to the doctor and the doctor labeled him as having a virus. I disagreed and we had 2 recurrences of severe hives. While they were not life threatening - It PISSES ME OFF that the idiot doctor could not get it wrapped around her head that hives causes challenges at home. He don't sleep, he hits himself, bites himself and he can't tell me whats wrong. I have to tell the dr whats up
Trying to find a new dentist sighs, nobody wants to cover the trip to childrens hospital to put him under for dental work.......ps My son loves the trampoline also!
Its me again , we have a dentist here in Redlands that is great with Danielle. Has Inland Regional ever mentioned DDS waiver to you for all of Jamies medical needs not covered through Private Insurance . I am so angry that you had to fight to be informed aboutEPSDT hours . We had a great social worker a couple of years back that helped us with lots of things. Since her ,nobody seems to help as much. Let me know if you need any info Would love to help
Thanks so much for your help....insurance is complicated...our HMO will cover only general anesthesia and then we have to find a dentist that takes our dental insurance who then has to have "privileges" to go into our HMO to simply clean our son's teeth or repair cavity...it takes months, that's why I'm VERY skeptical of a government take over of health care because anything complex in PRIVATE sector is even worse when bureaucrats and state or federal agencies jump into the mix...yikes...so sad
