  • The First Bill of Rights gave freedoms. The Second Bill of Rights forces obligations and therefore strips away freedom. Goods are not rights.

  • Food = Right. You shouldn't have to work for it, correct? One in ten Americans is on food stamps, at least 10% of us have it right. We should seize the CEOs of McDonald's and Safeway's. We should take their homes and properties, so that they’re just like us right? For operations being too expensive, instead of nationalizing it...maybe look at why it’s so expensive. TORT reform (50% of the bill), how about make more MED schools. Make more doctors compete for the business of the people.

  • As nice as those sound at first, none of those are rights.

  • @RoosterCogburn1008 I think healthcare is a right since without you die.

  • @CaptainRidley First, no, you don't automatically die without health care. Millions of Americans choose not to have healthcare and they're not dying. I'm sorry, but healthcare is not a human right, its a privilege.

  • @RoosterCogburn1008 Good luck surviving cancer without Health Care. Insurance Companies have a good record of dropping covering or denying it to people who have tumors. Calling their tests and treatments "experimental" What a joke. A for profit health care system is inhumane and is wrong. It's like giving cops a raise who deny the most cases and as a result people die but hey at least the city saved some cash!

  • @CaptainRidley Oh gee your right...I think we should not allow Doctors charge what they think an operation should cost...I mean heaven forbid people make any money on health care. I think that private companies that make food such as cereal and bread should be put to jail too; I mean food is a right, also electricity, and housing.

  • @Bertosrevenge Food is affordable so even the lower class can afford it. Doctors in countries with UHC still make tons of money. Yeah they might have 1 nice house instead of 5 but at least the doctors will be motivated to save lives and instead of denying patients to get a bonus(not saying all doctors do this but hopefully you get the point). Can't afford the operation? You're done for. No chance at all. But hey, at least the Doctor gets a fat paycheck.

  • Also... he equates the 1920's as the road to Facism when we had more pro-capitalist society... He claimed that staying "the way we were" leads to Facism but FDR took away more power from the Constitution and gave it to the President than any previous President prior. He propagated central economic planning and created the welfare state which has been shown to keep poor people poor... I'm not saying he was a fascist... I'm just saying...

  • >proposes an economic structure that wasn't extreme in either wing

    >"hurr durr socialism"

  • “A society that puts equality before freedom will get neither. A society that puts freedom before equality will get a high degree of both.” ― Milton Friedman

  • Mass transit systems are hit and miss across the nation. Houston for example has shitty mass transit. they started building trains in the last decade but with only 1 line operational and 3 more (slowly) being built. its a little too late. There is so much infastructure that needs to be worked on that Im pretty sure it can put thousands to work right now across the country.THE FEDERAL GOVERMENT CAN PROVIDE JOBS!

  • We dont make nothing. Everything is made overseas. Maybe if we made our own shit and bought it and export it maybe our economy would get better. but that would mean that those poor billionaires would have to shut down their overseas operations and actually pay people a living wage to make shit here. Of course, products will go up in price but its a win win. AFTER YOU ARE A BILLIONAIRE MILLIONS DONT MEAN SHIT! Nobody is hating people for making the money but these billionaires are HOARDING cash

  • @alexandersrevenge I'm aware that I already replied to you but for some reason it wouldn't show up so I rewrote it. I apologize in advance if you got 2 of the same message.

  • @alexandersrevenge We can do that by increasing raw supply such as manufacturing, mining, energy, agriculture etc. and also find a fair and effective way to pay off the debt. Yes I do believe if you have a million dollars and you could afford pay a little more tax to better the economy you should. With power comes responsibility and money is power. I don't believe we should declare martial law on the market, but letting them do whatever they want... That's no better than totalitarianism

  • @alexandersrevenge So now what? The only choices we have is to let ordinary people suffer as the economy transitions back to it's true value or borrow money from china to restimulate the economy to create demand. I can also keep going on but I'm already running out of space so soon again. I think the right choice is to temporarily increase our debt to stimulate growth and let people keep their homes and reinvest in areas that will promote economic growth.

  • @alexandersrevenge There is also another problem. Economic growth runs on demand. In a recession demand is low because people cannot afford to spend more than they have to. Normally prices would drop and demand would increase again. But not in this case, the prices stay high thanks to our system the top 10% wealthiest own 90% of the nations wealth. They aren't going to invest in the economy that's not profitable.

  • @alexandersrevenge Ok, let me point out the fundamental flaws of supply side economics. The main driver of its prosperity is economic growth. It assumes growth is limitless (hence your formula very low taxes = growth). However, if there is a finite amount of resources, how can growth be limitless?

  • What is wrong with having a government providing your needs is that you need a totalitarian government telling you what your needs are. As Americans we each have unique needs. For ever rights that he lists, ask your self how can bureaucratic government ever define it and have the power to implement it.

  • The US government (& people) claim "democracy". But the truth is when every corporation & business is run as a dictatorship, democracy is impossible. Whoever has the most money & invests in the most advertising/lobbying are the one's who gain control - hence money is control - hence the dictatorships in which the most profitable companies are made, now own the so called "democracy" you claim to inhabit.

  • People say that big government takes away our freedom, but one could argue that big government helps create NEW freedoms our country did not allow us before. Look at Japan! They have a bill of rights which they based off of the FDR's 2nd bill of rights and they have one of the most productive economies in the world. Just because our capitalist system has worked for 230 yrs, that doesn't mean it isn't defective. The 2nd B.O.R's would have prevented our countries current turmoil, bottom line.

  • As a Communist, I admire Franklin Delano Roosevelt. He wasn't like other US Presidents. This was a great idea that should have been properly put forward. And his death near the end of World War II was a tragedy that if false, could have prevented the cold war as he was negotiable to the Soviet Union.

  • The Right to a good education? Wow, this guy was insane!

    /s

  • @tehDementedGamer Remember once the government establishes a right nobody can take it away from you. Example now parents can't get their kids out of sex education from public schools. The government controls what kids read and learn. The right to an education should always be in the hands of the parents. If you have kids then it is your responsibility to educate, feed, and provide shelter: You then say in a whining voice, "But they can't afford it." I reply, "Then You Help Your Neighbor"

  • Wow what a great video

  • Wow, this guy was a tyrant.

  • Each and every right mentioned in FR's speech is brutally violated by the traitors in the White House, Congress and Senate. They should be tried and convicted for betraying the people. But the people of today know all about iPads, wide screen TVs, and other crappy gadgets and nothing about history, justice or wtf is going on around them!

  • @saulllish Shouting it doesn't make it any less ignorant.

  • @saulllish Canada has a socialist gov't but we are communist! as a matter of fact canada is one of the best countries in the world to live in (US is below Canada so yeah)

  • @saulllish

you call it socialism. everyone else call them "human rights"

  • @superstrok99 There is only one right. And that is to be free to pursue happiness. The more the rights that are given to you a “Socialistic” Government is needed to implement it. Every single right you want comes at the cost of others. What good is your Health Care when it was given to you by threat of jail time for your neighbor? Don't take the bait of the powerful, promising you a utopian society.

  • @alexandersrevenge I will take healthcare if it comes at the threat of jail time for my neighbor, and I think most people in the world would say the same thing. Without economic security, it is impossible to pursue happiness; one's own pursuit of happiness should not impede the ability of others to survive and thrive.

  • @rucksplash08 Like all liberals you have good intentions. The average person in the world makes $1000 a year, would you have a problem with the government spreading "economic wealth" at the threat of putting you and your family in jail to give it to others in a poor country? Your right that the world would love to have economic security and health care at the cost of the neighbor; 95% of North America and Europe would be in jail if they refused.

  • @alexandersrevenge the road the hell is paved with good intentions

  • @alexandersrevenge

    >implying that right's are a limited resource

  • Comment removed

  • @freedompatriot1 It is great when people like you comment. It reinforces the fact that those of us on the opposing side are correct. We are hearing the last of the tea party.

  • FDR warns us about the return of the 1920's "normalcy" in this and history did repeat it self during the bush administration. It's evident that the outdated ideas of "small government" does not work in the complex system of the modern economy. How many more recessions will it take until people get it?

  • @Jonimpurity Sadly, most conservatives will never get it.

  • @Jonimpurity Two Things...You are referring to the "Roaring 20s?" Perhaps the greatest economic expansion ever in the history of the USA? Second In a "Modern Economy?" Remember, supply side economics never changes with times. There are unlimited wants with a limited amount of resources. Recessions will always occur and can't be stopped. The FED was created in 1913 to stop recessions and so was the switching of gold to paper 1971, both failed spectacularly...I can go on! Big Gov. doesn't help.

  • Teabaggers take a community college economics course, and all of a sudden they think they're the next Adam Smith.

  • Too much Capitalism or too much Socialism is a bad thing. The trick is to find the perfect balance between the two.

  • The sad thing about this is that we gave some or all of these rights to our defeated enemies after the war, but we didn't gave them to ourselves.

  • And in 1979, the people decided instead to let the fascists run rough shod over the rest of us. We need either another FDR or another Truman in office, because if there's one thing they got right, it's that the right wing fascists can't be reasoned with. They will do anything they can to both protect their own asses while taking from the rest of us.

  • THIS should be the demand of #Occupywallstreet!!!!

  • @JonPaulPrime I couldn't agree more!!! Thanks for commenting.

  • @JonPaulPrime

I was thinking the same thing as I listened to it.

  • And now we know where the inspiration for the Economic and Social Rights in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights comes from. :)

  • a pure democracy is like a Jaffacake it cant get any better,

tho sometimes the Jaffacake get rotten and filed with cockroaches

that´s when you have to throw it out and replace it with a new Jaffacake

that´s common sense in my opinion

  • What a great man. Roosevelt wasn't perfect, but he was one of the best leaders we had.

  • A great man!

  • @CentristFiasco Your "ya'll" reveals that you are from the low-information voter South.

  • @babrahamson Hey, that "low-information voter South" gave us great leaders like Martin Luther King, Sam Rayburn, LBJ, Robert Byrd, Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton, Barbara Jordan, Ann Richards, Al Gore, and John Edwards, just to mention a few.

  • @CentristFiasco Like many people, you still mix up socialism with communism. It's NOT the same thing!!

  • @CentristFiasco And what's wrong with socialism?

  • @CentristFiasco STFU Libertardian. Go lick R.P.s old wrinkly balls.

  • @CentristFiasco

What's wrong with socialism? Why is it so bad to make sure everyone has their basic needs met? Socialism and the American way of life are not mutually exclusive. Socialism is not fascism.

  • @CentristFiasco wait a second....doesnt your government run police, libraries, rec centres, paramedics, hospitals, etc......OH NO SOCIALISM LOL.

  • @lee0122333 Hospitals and libraries are different than wealth redistribution. Taking money and property from a minority and giving it to others is what socialism is, taking money from ALL the people and funding it for public use such as hospitals and libraries isn't. Food Stamps doesn't equal a Cop. Sorry.

  • @Metalandrapsucks you my friend with your selfish thinking is what is wrong with this word

  • Untill EVERY ONE makes a wage they can live on, NO ONE should make millions...why is it so hard to pay ALL workers money to live on? Workers that are not starving, that have the money to improve themselevs, that dont have to choose between food and dying from unafordable medical care (that you cant be refused treatment doesnt mean they cant take your home away), are going to be MORE PRODUCTIVE...i dont blame the poor for not caring about their jobs...why should they? they cant even live.

  • @amx455 actually, you can be refused treatment. I had to pay up front for a surgery about five years ago, or they wouldn't do it. Luckily, I was able to borrow from family members and have since then paid them back. If I didn't have the surgery, I would of eventually got an infection in my eye socket and it would of rapidly spread....(I only have one eye, and my glass eye wore a hole through the tissue exposing the porous ball that was put in.) Yet people wonder why I'm for medical reform.....

  • Ahh i can see in these comments the perpetual class warfare; between the hardworking poor; those who work 60 hrs a week yet get paid a JOKE wage (minimum wage is a joke), and those who make millions, and feel ZERO obligation to pay their workers a LIVING WAGE...when a CEO makes millions yet pays most workers minimum wage you have to be a pretty heartless, evil, selfish amoral scum bag to believe they have a"right" to make more money than they can spend in a life time...

  • In my opinion a great president.

  • Why should my money be your money?

  • @METALandRAPsucks Because it was never your money to begin with. The problem with this generation is the self righteousness entitlement you guys think you have. The money belongs to the people and until it is spread out equally, your motivation is just greed.

  • @TheBigBigSean Self righteousness? So all my hard work, my years in schools, suffering to get good grades, my determination to get into a good college in order to better my chances of getting a good job in order to obtain a nice standard of living, is self righteousness? So all that is equal to somebody who never gave a shit about their future, only goofing off his/her entire life, and is now poor and unemployed? And they deserve to indulge themselves w/ my money? Answer yes or no.

  • @METALandRAPsucks I too have worked hard to get where I am, and I lead a comfortable middle class lifestyle for which I am grateful, but this doesn't mean I should resent and point self righteous fingers at those who have achieved less. I don't begrudge anyone becoming a millionaire or a billionaire, but, first, it is our responsibility to be humane and redistribute wealth in such a way that all of us are free to live without poverty. We have the resources no matter what BS games are played. To

  • @tacoeatingzebra We have the resources? Maybe you have the resources but I don't. At what point is one considered to be living under poverty? What do you think about those people who live just above that line? they have to pay for people just below that line. People who could possibly be abusing my money! Welfare and Obamacare kills the incentive to work. if you want to pay for others, go ahead. Make a charitable donation.

  • @METALandRAPsucks People who live a little above poverty pay pretty little into federal income tax. We have a progressive tax bracket system, you should read up on how it works some time. How many people do you know who quit their jobs to mooch off of welfare and healthcare? Yup, going to quit my 9 to 5 to live at home on a fraction of what I used to live off of! Wish me luck boss! *sarcasm*

  • @METALandRAPsucks say otherwise is playing into the hands of those who want to keep us in our place. It is difficult to pull one's self out of poverty when those resources are withheld.

  • @METALandRAPsucks People like you are truly disgusting.

  • @KillTheStranger How am I disgusting? KEEP YOUR HANDS OFF MY MONEY. I WORKED FOR IT AND YOU DID NOT.

  • I'd hate to know what he thought of his country now. He'd be disgusted. If only more Presidents were like FDR.

  • MAGNIFICENT !!

  • right from illegal searches and seizure oh how they've shit all over that one

  • So people ask yourself this.. do you want the world to start evolving and stop being such a corporate place, we don't half the shit we have this world.. its just halting the production of man in the right direction.. if you agree with me on any of this or have better ideas.. lemme know what you think.

  • Against the power that is.. and change it to the way things SHOULD be.. COULD be.. not what they are now.. we need people with faces.. like celebrity's or the media to help spread a message to all Americans to go to their congress and protest for change.. the right change.. and WE the people should have a say in voting on new laws not the congress.. we've come along ways in the technological era that we can come up with a bill and have almost every american vote on in electronically from home

  • We could easily afford the funding for most of this.. such as free college education, raising the minimum wage to at the very least 10 an hr.. but that would mean people would have to give up their precious alcohol, cigarettes, and guns.. AND of course the biggest thing that would help this country.. scratch that this world.. make pot legal, as it can be used as an alternative fuel source and we would be able to cut the spending on oil,and things I just mentioned.. but people must unite and revolt

  • @slither939 Tax, Tax, Tax, Tax!

  • @CentristFiasco Tax shouldn't even be around to this day.. was only invented to help fund the war.. but they figured aye.. lets fuck our people over some more and keep it around

  • This is a great video. These are all essential rights that every human being ought to enjoy. Our sad excuse for an education system does not fulfil the right to a quality education, and the same can be said for our health care system - too many people do not have access to it, as it continues to exist to make profits, not to help people in need.

  • Check it out at a-new-revolution.cm - and tell us what you think.

  • This is what Obama should strive for instead of being to bipartisin and do what he thinks in best

  • Thanks for sharing this.

  • We need to remind our elected officials why this rings as true today as it did back then.

  • Roosevelt for president 2012!!!

  • @capt251978 Yes please.

  • best president ever! obama is great because his trying to pass this bill of rights too

  • We are already at the point of which FDR warned us about, the spirit of fascism already rules America. What can we do to implement this economic bill of rights?

  • Best President ever!

  • Wow, what a caring speech! The Repugnos of Fix news are without conscience for the less fortunate.

  • he died and non of that had happened

  • Despite all the man's faults, he was one of the best presidents the USA has ever had.

  • @DeuceMP2 You are living a utopian fantasy if you think the government can ever provide enough jobs for everybody. You dont even offer a plan. Your only plan would be hire more public sector workers. Please offer a sensible argument, not some utopian ideal of how society "should" look like

  • @shotsky94 that strawman it wouldnt just be public sector it would be setting up laws and programs to produce and keep private sector jobs in america instead of outsourcing it all, come on biddy this must be in your wheel house you know the refrane "they took our jobs" this would have stopped them from "taking yeeerr jeeerrbss" but i guess you must be the type to want the rich to get richer and for the poorest to die in the street like dogs.

  • @bigjavo36 Lol....see who's talking about strawman arguments. Where did poor dieing like dogs come from you meathead. If you want private sector jobs in america, you have to make the country more competitive around the world in areas of tax policy, regulatory policy, dollar policy, etc. We have the 2nd highest corporate tax rate in the world, and some democrats still want it higher. How is this supposed to keep private sector jobs in america...huh....read "econ in one lesson" by henry hazlitt

  • President Obama, what happened? You were supposed to be the next FDR, you were supposed to be the next people's champion.

  • @DeuceMP2 instead he sucks cock for satin

  • @GaVIn62 satin??? He sucks the cock of a fabric? You make no sense.

  • @DeuceMP2 sorry the devil satan

    (y)

  • @GaVIn62 just too say obama was put in the place he's in today by the same people who got bush to the top spot * but tho ron paul who is a stand up good guy

he doesn't stand a chance, why you ask?!

'It's Not the People Who Vote that Count; It's the People Who Count the Votes' you can say i'm wrong but look at bush's re-election...

  • @GaVIn62

Ron Paul may be a standup guy, but though he considers himself an expert on matters Economic, he really doesn't know what he is talking about. He has a closed mind about the subject and the misinformation he has taught himself cannot be wiped from his mind regardless of any reasonable explanation to him of the facts. Fortunately, you are right that he doesn't have a chance.

  • I´m so happy that we have these rights in our "Grundgesetzt" Mr. Roosevelt was a graet man and all the new goverments after ww2 grow get this rights but not the country he want it for.

  • FDR is one of my heroes. Such a shame this second bill of rights was not introduced.

  • @Dendiol It would have been had he lived. Its a shame the public didnt even hear about this new addition to the bill of rights until just a few years ago when Michael Moore's team found it in the nationl archives.

  • just like we have a minimum wage, we should also have a maximum wage, that would only go up in a fraction of percentage of minimum wage hikes-

wealth=power, too much wealth...well too much power (koch bros direct line to the wisc govenor just 1 of many examples)

balance is the key to everything in life, including our economy

  • @tubevideoguy762 Yup same bullshit. Everyone deserves a job because there're infinite amount of jobs to go round. LMFAO. STFU. And how does the government violate my right to a job. Lol if you didn't know already, all you have is the right to life, right to liberty, and right to pursuit of happiness. And also incase you didn't know the minimum wage hurts rather than benefit the weakest in the society. Just read up on the effects of putting a minimum wage

  • @shotsky94 You sir have the IQ of a bar of soap! There was a reason why the Second Bill of Rights was proposed! It is the same reason why all the other first world nations have embraced the Second Set of Human Rights enshrined in the UN Charter; In the 1930s, millions of people took a look around and finally realized what was happening in the world!

  • @Activeassholeonpills you just cant wish things into existence. it has to come from someone or somewhere.....read economics in one lesson by henry hazlittt.....would shatter your worldview

  • @shotsky94

someone does not "get" the right to a job it IS a right that they all ready have but the government violates it regularly. paid work is not a privilege it IS a right. a job should not be something you have to do a difficult search for it should just be available to whoever wants one. also minimum wage is bullshit so politicians know that is should be a living wage. at least $400 a week in todays society after tax deductions.

  • @shotsky94 Its the right to have a choice that pays a decent livable wage, the Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness you dipshit.

  • This is crazy talk. No one has a right to enslave another, and all of these so called "rights" require someone to be another's slave. I have a right to pursue an education but I can not force someone to educate me and I should not force (enslave) someone to pay for my education.

  • @sehbase Oh please. Reading a little too much Ayn Rand are we? No one is forced to educate anyone, people have the freedom to choose their own profession and where they want to work.

  • @notamused23 How will you guaranty these "rights" if no one with the ability chooses to teach etc.?

  • @notamused23 Exactly! The AustrioCons and Randroids of the world continually offer their usual victims a set of false choices: Completely free market of absolute collectivism! They are just as bad as their Bolshevik counterparts. They completely ignore the fact that third way mixed economies give societies the best of both worlds with few of the negative side effects!

  • @sehbase That is a very egoistic point of view. As a human being you should benefit of the societies in which you function (Family/state/country/planet). You are dependent on many levels by each of those micro/macro society's. Egoism and greed create inequalities that flame hatred and envy. You shouldn't be forced to benefit the society you should want to do it,because you are a part of it.Taxes should be agreed upon and willingly paid by the people that want the money to benefit the society.

  • @sehbase Sir, shut the fuck up! You people are the last folks who should be talking about the issue of slavery! You sit around throwing your support behind batshit-looney movements that have done everything they can and more to upend the broader freedoms of the American people, usually under the guise of fighting for either state's rights or property rights, and then after your policy changes are enacted, the Kochs and Murdochs of the world wind up being the only people getting any benefit!

  • Freedom is never completely divorced from necessity; but is the rule of capitalism free or necessary when 10% of the people absorbed 88% of the wealth 90% produce and that 10% say that there isn't enough wealth in society to entitle the majority to housing, health, education and security from the scourge of unemployment.

  • This is basically what all western societies have....But not the US run by the greedy pigs

  • @bearblue34 I'll just assume that you have no clue what "antithesis" means. Forget to study your vocab, did ya?

  • Comment removed

  • @babrahamson

Antithesis is a counter-proposition and denotes a direct contrast to the original proposition.

  • @bearblue34 An antithesis of freedom. OK, so Americans are free now they are exploited by profiteering healthcare companies instead of having free healthcare. You really need to reassess your definition of 'freedom'.

  • @bearblue34 Yeah freedom to be thrown out on the street by a bank who takes your home, a health care company who you've paid properly but still denies you treatment because it would be too expensive, the freedom for an employer to pay you 12 cents an hour and the freedom to have only those who can afford to go to college get a proper education. Its sheep like you that the ruling class love to have on their side, cheering them on while they bone you in the ass.

  • I am a socialist, like franklin and I love FDR.

  • @mattybock He was not a socialist. He was a democratic socialist. Big difference.

  • @y2knoproblem Democratic socialist are socialists, & FDR was a social democrat not a democratic socialist.

  • this speech is as close as anyone will get to these rights, depressing really

  • Greatest American president ever:P George Washington. People wanted to make him king and he declined. Now in my opinion, the 2nd greatest is FDR. It is stunning how the things he tried to do for the everyman 70 years ago are resonating now in the 21st century. FOX news is the most bullshizit news org. on the planet. The wealthy corporations in this country are turning America into an inverse FASCIST state. Corporate America would sell their own moms to a slave labor country like China 4 profit.

  • @1MSNARA Freedom is such a radical idea.

  • @1MSNARA Perhaps you should have been fighting a war at the time.

  • I like FDR despite the fact I'm an Eisenhower Republican. I actually wish he had lived to see whether or not he could have gotten his Second Bill of Rights passed or not.

  • FDR BEST PRESIDENT NO ONE EVEN COMES CLOSE TO HIM. HE MADE AMERICA STRONG FOR 50 YEARS.And it only took 8 years of VOODOO ECONOMICS TO F it up. rONALD MCdonald rEAGN is the worst president hands down even worse than baby bush giving tax cuts to india to take our jobs.

The Conservative party should just desolve.

  • @tbmagis There is something else I can do in this non Democratic era that you and your deluded ilk have ushered in. I can delete you. It's as if your words had never been uttered.

  • @tbmagis Of course this could go on and on because that's what gives you life. I am not an idealogue because I am capable of changing my point of view. I have been a registered Independent, and registered Republican, and a registered Democrat. With all due respect, I have seen a great many more years of life than you have.

I was as passionate as you when I was younger, and your mind will not be changed until you look back and realize that your idols fucked you over.I don't envy your youth.

  • @tbmagis It is hard to discuss anything with a confirmed idealogue, so I won't even try. You don't get it, and you never will. I really should have suggested that you drink tea rather than koolaid.

FDR is dead. Pelosi is defeated. Obama is a corporatist. Don't you get it? YOU have WON! The corporations rule/ own the government. The war is over. Can't you fucking see the dismantling even as we speak? Open your eyes. It's a new day in America. You have succeeded. Rejoice.

  • @babrahamson What is the average person going to say? That protective regulation for the people against the oligarchs is communism? Ridiculous. If people want to go back to rugged individualism, they're going to get a lot of people killed. People want real, viable solutions. Not ideological banter and endless quoting of Thomas Jefferson in order to justify the status quo of letting the needy get shafted. Many tea-partiers are so ignorant of their own history it's unbelievable.

  • @tbmagis Why are you so angry? You have won and you don't even know it. Democracy is dead in the United States. We have a Corporatocracy who have staged a coup with the aid of you Kool aid drinkers. You should be rejoicing. No one gives a shit about you any more. Congratulations and good luck with that.

  • Why must people become so upset and angry when it comes to an individual securing happiness in life for themselves and their family's? I bet these are the same people who have a legacy in their family of owning slaves and drinking from water fountains labeled "For coloreds only"

  • Y'know, I was fortunate to not grow up during the Great Depression. I never knew the hunger of what Roosevelt spoke. But. history speaks clearly to me. No one re-elected Jimmy Carter. To those who say FDR was a bad president, then answer something for me. Why did we elect him 4 times? I'd wager that he was far better than others want to give him credit for. Especially if the critics didn't grow up facing starvation during the Depression.

  • @babrahamson I just wanted to say: good for you for uploading this video.

It's amazing how clear Roosevelt makes things: these are basic rights that all people should - and could - have.

It was brave of you to put this out here. The responses of the Republican commentators are amazingly rude, incoherent and downright nasty.

In the face of this kind of bullying, it is important that all decent people stand up and fight. And this video represents a powerful blow.

  • @Simurgh21 FDR put over 110,000 inocent people in relodcation camps. How can anyone justfy that?

  • @unassumption ... He killed between 15 and 17 million people, not 6 million. If you think Hitler was "good" as you said don't ever contaminant my Email again. Is that understood? I suggest you study a little history. Now go away!

  • @BIGMUDDYDOG

go to poland and burn jewfag.

  • @unassumption ..... Wow, great rebuttal, are you on a debating team?

  • @unassumption You put the "ass" in unassumption

  • @Donnybrook10 It's ironic but typical that a devotee of Faux News would take time on Christmas Day to provide such a deep comment. As usual, it is anonymous. I'll keep this comment here because it only further shows the intellectual capacity of people of your ilk.

  • @babrahamson would we really expect more?

  • @babrahamson The fact that you immediately label him a watcher of FNC also reveals much about your intellectual capacity. You two have more things in common than you think. And no shit his comment was anonymous: this is youtube. Lmfao.

  • @redarrowhead2 Another intellect heard from... You have absolutely nothing to say on the substance of the video itself. God, you koolaid conservatives are annoying. The only reason I leave your inane comments up is so that the thousands who visit this site can see what we're dealing with. Yeah, we can hear your laughter, and it is decidedly maniacal. Anonymity may be the norm on YouTube, but if you're going to throw stones, then man-up or shut up.

  • @redarrowhead2 i like this comment

  • @redarrowhead2 and this video

  • @Tarn1968 Actually I'm very well respected at work. However, I'm not in a popularity contest and I don't suffer fools gladly. My fitness reports attest to this as well as the loyalty my staff. You may be 'educated' but you are ignorant. No doubt young, idealistic and naive. You are willing to gamble away the greatness of this country cock sure you know better than all the generations that have preceded you/yours. You think you have thought of something new ? Epic FAIL whenever tried. Read more...

  • @Tarn1968 My vulgarity is prompted by the likes of you. I'm so sick to my stomach reading through these posts, thinking of the brave men I had the pleasure/honor of knowing, who had given their lives in battle so as to preserve our way of life. Each presumed their sacrifice, should the day come, would not be in (have been) in vain. This subject is the only one that gets me this out of control. I would have to exhibit such extreme self control in your presence that it would literally hurt.

  • I shutter to think what Madison would said if he were al
