Date someone else? Terrible advice. What about the new person you are dating? What if they end up really liking you or even falling for you. You are just using them as the rebound and the whole time you are thinking about hopefully, eventually, getting your ex back. That's not really fair. Very casually dating multiple people might be ok but spending too much time with one is a recipe for disaster.
