  • I do recall seeing the orginal the day the earth stood still, but I did not care much for the remake. The way it used to be a person would go to see a movie by who was starring in it, now The whole plot and the best scenes are all shown on advertisement before a person even watch's the movie. To me that's like someone telling how a movie ends before I watch it and ruins it for me.

  • Is it just me? I never saw this old black and white classic, but the first time I saw the ant bee from the andy griffith show in any other show or movie.

  • @toogawnjawn So you never have seen the original 1951 Classic "The Day The Earth Stood Still"?

She is one of the tenants of the Boarding House where Klatu settels in to study us. Mainly you can view her at the Dinning Table. She thinks the Communist are invading.

  • This is a remake of "The Lodger" (1944), with Jack Palance in Vincent Price's role. Frances Bavier ("Aunt Bee") was under contract to Fox at the time....

  • why that's aunt bee, from the Andy Griffith show
