This may sound really random, but does anyone else notice how the font for the numbers in the Japanese versions of Final Fantasy have a much cleaner look to them instead of the off-center numbers (the 3 hangs lower than other numbers, and the 6 is higher, for example). The stylized numbers look good in Final Fantasy Tactics, but look blurry on GBA games if you ask me.

god!!! in every final fantasy, someone turns into, or forms a beast that becomes the final boss. (final fantasy's aeons and yu yevon did not count because they were scenario battles, as is sephiroth in clouds mind, they do not count, and vegnagun still counts as a giant beast)

When I borrowed this game from my friend, I did the mistake in the normal FF2 that I removed Ricards equipment before his death, so I got pretty much screwed at Soul of Rebirth... :'(

This battle does require much preparation. First, you have to get through the hell of the entire 10 floor palace, surviving endless status ailments, and trying to stay alive to get to the next ultimate weapon...

SoR is extremely hard at beginning cuz you can barely kill anything at all b4 they kill you... but then gets extremely eazy and you get like +20 stats to everyone each battle o.o

The key to Ultima Weapon is using buffs =D... he is uber easy then

in FF1, they had less health, but double the mana, i liked it better when they had 900 health and bosses did ~150 damage, now, its like they have 10,000 health and bosses do ~2,500 damage :P

Excellent. I saw this video a few months ago and it inspired me to get a DS (which plays GBA games). I am about 30 minutes from this battle in my game, but my party is much less powerful. Minwu only has about 1400 HPs and Ricard is around 2500. I am pretty resourceful, but wish me luck.

Thank you. I managed OK. Ricard really carried the battle. Minwu concentrated on defensive spells, Scott was a backup healer/fighter, and Josef, well he was there for moral support.

Thanks again for posting this video. I had fallen completely out of touch with console based games for many years. When I saw the video I figured I had to play this game no matter what format it was on. The rest is history.

if you want som easy Max HP UP lol just go fight weak monsters, and make your own party memebers attack themselves, HP UP assured at the end of battle :) using this i had 4500HP before getting Josef in the main story :D

the emperor's physical attack does damage based on your character's MAX HP,so the more HP you have, the more damage you take from his physical attack, and the more he heals, same with all the other undead monsters that steal HP from you.
