I love them far more. A humbucker would give you twice the output, so,twice the punch and the crunchyness that a single coil would give you

First of all, there aren´t any harmonics in this video. I didn´t play any here, check out my second version of that song with harmonics. I think I didn´t use a Compressor during the intro, only during the refrain. It´s really useful to use the blue Herdim guitar pick to get this "twang" in the harmonics ( I also didn´t use a blue Herdim pick in the second cover ).

Ufff.... I´m still using a Roland Micro Cube in the Clean Channel. I did the settings with my effect unit, a Boss GT-8. I don´t really know them anymore, but pretty much middle and treble, low bass I think. I recomment you to use the Neck pickup of the guitar and a blue pick by Herdim which gives you a really special sound ( I didn´t use one in this video, but check my example video ).

Well... to play that song is not so difficult, the hard thing is to get the rights sound. Here´s definetely not the right sound, ´cause I didn´t really know how to use my multieffect unit.

Anyway ... if you can play harmonics, I would say maybe 5/10. It´s really easy, ´cause there isn´t a kind of guitar solo or something.

However... easy song =)

well, I´ve already deleted the preset a long time ago. I didn´t like the sound after a time.

My multieffect unit was also new and I didn´t really know how to use it right. So that song was more like a "try". With my Amp I can´t get the sound i want to get ... but I´m pretty sure that I´ll buy an Amp of the Vox Valvetronic Series soon. The guitar sounds so fat, too fat for that song, so the harmonic don´t sound good in my opinion. I din´t play any harmonics here

However ... Distortion ... I think it was a Boss Overdrive with a lot of middles and treble.

Signal path .. phew .. I don´t really understand what this means :D I hear it everywhere, but I haven´t checked out what it really means ... I simply do this : Guitar - Boss GT-8 unit - Amp :D But I think that´s not that what you wanted to know.

that´s not a Fender one =) It´s a Yamaha Pacifica 112 Series. My first guitar, and I´m sorry, not for sale *g* I don´t really play it anymore ... it haven´t got any strings at the moment and I´m too lazy to restring it :D I didn´t really played it since about 6 months, but I know that I´ll need it for many songs by U2 - so I´ll use it, when I´ll have enough time to learn some new songs. Les Paul is not a very good alternative for Songs by U2 ´cause it´s a pretty fat sound.

Phew... pedals. Well, it´s a multieffect unit and i deleted the presets some time ago. But I´m pretty sure that it was a BOSS overdrive. Actually I´m using the TubeScreamer Drive.

Delay ... I don´t know ... just one on the Multieffect Unit :D The part at 02:09 is played with the Pitch Shift effect ... the best pedal you can youse to create a good sound is a Digitech Whammy ( a red one, The Edge uses this one too ). The Pedal Bend on my Boss GT-8 multieffect sounds pretty crappy :D

Hi,

I paid 800€ with an original case. It´s an used one, built in 2004, but the condition was really well. I can really recommend it, it´s the typical Les Paul Sound - pretty fat and creamy. The only Problem is the hight of the strings and to set it while restringing the guitar. That´s really...badass. But when you bring the guitar to a setup every few months it shouldn´t be a problem.

Well, personally I don´t like the beginnining ( no harminics ) and the Ending ( sounds so strange ) in my version. The distortion is also wrong, but I con´t find a good setting on my effect unit.

Which part do you exactly mean? 0:30-0:57? That´s just a delay. 2:08 - 2:15 is an Octave Shifter ( +2 Octaves ), Delay and Reverb.
