  • everyone who is shitting on yngwie on this one belongs to one of the following categories (random combinations of more than one are welcome):

    1. doesnt know or understand shit about guitar

    2. is a guitarist that can't play iron man with a band and logs on youtube to talk bullshit on virtuosos.

    3. has poor taste in music in general

    4. is totally deaf

    haters pick one please.

  • This song is about SWINGERS - obvious really - BONNET ROCKS - great song in any era and lyrics that are timeless

  • Only the BEST

  • This solo in Night Games is sick!!! One of my favorites by Yngwie!!!

  • is the metallic tour on cd?

  • Iron Throat !!!

  • Graham Bonnet may not be the most consistent vocalist/songwriter in the world, but when he pens a good one, it's usually a great one. This is still one of my favorite songs today.

  • I don't like Yngwie Malmsteen. He's the prime example of being good at playing, but being bad at making music. Just look at the Sex Pistols, they were crappy musicians, but still, made better music than Malmsteen.

This is great though, as he's not playing his own music.

  • yngwie malmsteen IS MUCH BETTER THAN BLACKMORE STUPID!!!!!!!!

  • @elmer2223 But what famus riffs has Yngwie created? NONE, almost everybody knows the intro riff to smoke on the water! (RITCHIE )

  • Malmsteen is a great guitarist, but dressing like Blackmore and playing almost the exact same guitar....that's just lame.

  • @SilverTounge85 Give YM the benefit of the doubt. A) If his outfit parrots Blackmore, then so was most of the metal world in the 80s. B) Is everyone who plays a Strat copying Blackmore? It's not the same axe. YM probably customized it, e.g. his preference for scalloped necks. C) I, for one, never saw Blackmore move like this onstage. D) Even IF young YM immitated his idol, who doesn't? We cover songs, wear tee shirts...how many guitars have been sold thanks to player endorsements?

  • @TheLeroyMoon Blackmore was one of the first players to use scalloped necks. Thats probably where Malmsteen copied it from.

  • @800764 yngwie has said he actually got the idea for the scalloped neck from a lute that came into a music shop (where he was working at the time). he said he like the way it felt, so he did it to one of his 'not so good' guitar necks which in turn became a good neck. He eventually did it to all of his guitar necks and has played with scalloped necks since.

  • when yng was king.thanks4posting man.nothing sounds rushed,perfect phrasing.calm,relaxed,beautiful.u c him switch2 the base pickup at 1;20?so fucking sick man.thanx agian.

  • i have the same guitar...! check my videos

  • Interesting choice of bad notes in intro at 0.12 .

  • 5 stars!

  • Great band, apart from the piss poor Blackmore clone!

  • @pump35 Oh geez. Get over it. He grew up playing Blackmore and has never shied from citing him as an influence, but if you can't hear the difference in the playing....nothing I can say will do any good. But seriously, get over it.

  • This was recorded just after they had to start using a separate 18 wheeler to haul Yngwie's head around.

    Little known fact:

At his peak of commercial success each tour had to get special permits to transport Y. Malmsteen's ego as it took a 2 lane wide trailer to move it.

  • @ROOKTABULA Blackmore was difficult, so Malmsteen that dresses like him, copy his way of playing and plays the exact same guitar, has the same haircut etc., had to have the same ego as Blackmore too.

  • @SilverTounge85 yeah back then becuz he was a big blackmore fan. After he went on his own and got past the marching out album he was original after that

  • @ravenrage07 I know! I like Malmsteen more when he found his own style. I'm a big Blackmore fan and play guitar (just for fun), but I don't dress up like him just because of it, and I think most other Blackmore fans around the Globe, doesn't so either. :)

  • absolutely incredible.. this solo is .. unbelievable.

  • was this song on any studio album

  • @nucleardude11 it was on Graham Bonnet's 1981 solo album Line-Up.

  • @therealacevenom oh thanks

  • Graham Bonnet and Yngwie Malmsteen is a Great formation of Alcatrazz! Thanks!
