One of the most passionate love songs ever..... showing both sides of love: the upside and the desparation most of us have known (I surely did!). And can this guy rock on an acoustic guitar or not?
I agree with his brilliance, but as Lindsey points out in the introduction he uses for this song, it's actually an anti-love song. "Looking out for love" actually refers to the fact that at the time he wrote the song he wanted nothing to do with love.
I did'nt vote for him, but do you really think that he could be any worse than that GREEDY FUKIN TEXAN that damn near sank this country. Lets get behind this guy and give him a chance..........
Im doing my french project on him and im going to be playing this song in the class with it along with The Chain, im also going to bring in the album Rumours
It's too bad that you never hear Lindsey Buckingham being one of the best guitar players ever! I've seen him live and considering he plays a mean finger pick I'd have to say that he's up there in my books! Try seeing Santana or Eddie Van Halen playing guitar without a pick and just use their finger nails! You rock Lindsey Buckingham! I would go see FM again in a heart beat!
Completely agee with your assessment of Buckingham's guitar playing--he's definitely in the top 5 of current rock guitarists, his style is unbelievably unique and complicated. I saw him twice in concert this fall, both times his playing was jaw-dropping, no exaggeration. Lindsey plays rings around most of today's guitar heroes. He is criminally underrated and under appreciated.
I honestly think that The Dance is the best the group has ever performed any of these songs live. Everytime I hear these songs in any other live performance they sound good, but not the same. Such an awesome concert. Even when I saw Stevie Nicks live her version of Landslide didn't compare to the one in The Dance version. I would love to see these guys reunite and tour again. Love them. They just have such a dynamic about them when they all get together on stage. One of the best bands ever!!
this guy is absolutely amazing im a guitarist and i can tell that he was born with some sort of skills in order to be able to play this not to mention he was actually slightly crazy and diagnosed with schizophrenia so i guess he was able to practice a lot
lindsey is a legend - this is a special performance. saw Mac live in '90 when he refused to tour, and yes.. they brought two nobodys in to replace him and it was poor. then he was back in 2003 ..but no christine! let's hope they can get the famous 5 back together for next year's tour...
yeah but on this recording i mean... it's just crazy that it is done with one person... it cannot be any other way now... if ever i see it with 2 guitarists, i will be so disappointed.
Just mad about this song and this performance..I've been watching this and the clip for three days too, it became an obsession !! ..it was one of my favorites when I was a child, recently rediscovered it. So beautiful that I wanna cry.
