I watched the pilot episode on Hulu. I loved it. I saw pieces of " Life After Death " at various times on the Sci - Fi / SyFy Channel &, like the majority of people here, I was NOT blown away by it.

Any real hope for the return of the series went into the dumper w / this thing.

This movie was such a disappointment. It lack the all the elements that were present in the only two seasons that were available. I did not like the girl who played Daisy, she made the character a total slut! The original Daisy was a little more sophisticated then the one in the movie. And where was Rube!!!?? The rest of cast was good, but in the end I felt like it did not compensate for the only two seasons that were aired. :(

Sarah Wynter was terrible. She lost everything that made Daisy *Daisy*. She turned her into an unattractive, whiny alcoholic and she couldn't even act. Even if the rest of the movie wasn't total shit, that actress alone would be more than enough to destroy the movie.

The movie takes place five years after the series finale and Rube has moved on and a new head Reaper is named for the group. They dislike him almost instantly, however, due to his shortsightedness and underhanded reaping tactics. One of which includes messing up George's ETD for her reap. I loved the tv show. I get the feeling if it did get a 3rd season, the usual corporate meddling would have seeped in and ruined it. Yes, a big part of the tv series was dramatic ,but, it did include some lighter moments as well. I hope I see the odd one in the movie. I still don't like the fact Mandy and the original actress who played Daisy aren't part of the cast. The new head reaper...hard to tell just yet. I'm am still curious about the movie.
