One could become dependent on it to be happy, but that is not so for the vast majority of pot smokers. Meaning that people smoke because they like to, not need to; Much the same as I like to surf, but I do not need to surf in order to be happy. It is one of the many possible ways to enrich one's life.

Graduates would decrease, and drug use would raise about 15% only because so many people already use it. What is bad is the act of smoking it, as smoking is not good for you period, but this is no worse then if you rolled your own Tobacco. (One part that is worse is the fact that joints are not rolled with a filter, as cigarettes are) I don't use pot, but to claim it is bad for you is ignorant. Sure things with no ill effects may be bad, but most prescriptions drugs available are far far worse for you.

I'm not gonna tell you to stop smoking weed because God says to stay sober (which applies to drugs, not just alcohol). You can smoke as much weed as you want, by all means go ahead, i can't stop you. What I do ask of you is not to tell people weed will not cause any harm, it can and it will.

Graduates would decrease, and drug use would raise about 15% only because so many people already use it. The percentages are not facts, they are my opinion due to the research that I have done of High school students that use marijuana.

Education is a gift, and they don't want it, that's fine with me, but when they disrupt class, when they begin to ruin my learning experience, that when i draw the line. People who do drugs are weak, pathetic, and above all, useless. I know that people have become successful while using weed, but I doubt that the people around even have 10% of the knowledge those people had.

I can't believe people who defend or say weed is healthy. That so wrong, weed is only considered a "tamed" drug when compared to alcohol. This drug is considered if not more dangerous than the same as cigarettes. People who smoke weed may not die of cancer like cigarette smokers do, but they gain a 5x greater chance of a heart attack when they smoke weed, and permanent brain, lung, and heart damage.

@rulerofcheeze No, that is the actual misconception of marijuana, people don't believe that they can get addicted to marijuana because they are smoking it as a plant, but the carcinogens and other chemical released by the heat of the fire used to light it can become addictive after a long term use.

What is bad is the act of smoking it, as smoking is not good for you period, but this is no worse then if you rolled your own Tobacco. (One part that is worse is the fact that joints are not rolled with a filter, as cigarettes are) I don't use pot, but to claim it is bad for you is ignorant. Sure things with no ill effects may be bad, but most prescriptions drugs available are far far worse for you.
