It is theoretically not that hard to control the angle of attack of the car in mid-air. My dad told me to let off the throttle to nose-down and increase throttle to nose-up, and hey! It works! Well at least on my old, OLD, Team Associated RC10T Riot Truck that hasn't been serviced in like 12 years and still runs fine. Although I'm betting that if it was serviced with new bearings, shocks, replaced brushes, and greased it up it could reach probably 40-45mph.

Also, the TRAXXAS Slash is pretty good short-course race truck. Very durable. Approx. $200. I had one and it was a blast to drive and to race it. I currently have a TRAXXAS Rustler VXL, very fast car, also very durable. And I also currently have an OFNA Ultra-LX-One 1/8 scale 4 wheel drive nitro buggy that I race in the summer-time on a big outdoor, offroad R/C track. It's a blast! Very fun! I love it! Best hobby in the world. They do, however, require alot of care and maint. Happy driving ppl.

Okay, first and foremost, people need to learn how to spell. I race cars like this every weekend so I can tell you that the one with the sand paddles is a Traxxas Jato($500 approx.) OFNA and Losi are also good brands. These are hobby level R/C models, they are not toys, for those of you who do not have any exp. with these types of R/C vehicles. They are expensive, but they can withstand alot of punishment. You can pick up a Rustler VXL for about $300. They are VERY fast. "Up the Irons".
