@TheApartmentShow The gloves are standard thick work gloves like you buy for construction or gardening 2 dollars at Harbor Freight, Friction doesn't heat up too much on the hand you are also dragging rope on your side. Thanks for the praise

@PLAlfa you want static line, not dynamic, for rappelling. Especially for recreational/"extreme" rappelling. Dynamic rope stretches, which makes braking before you hit the ground kinda hard sometimes.

What kind of rope are you using? I know you would usually use static rope for rappelling but with the free fall and sudden stops, do you use dynamic for that?

it is a static rope, theres not really sudden stops just gradual firm breaking
