  • Are those in the RPF held by physical force? I've always wondered about that.

  • There are stories of people getting chased by security if they try to leave, and IIRC one girl got her wrist broken when she tried to blow. That may have just been from the Sea Org in general though...

  • While I recognise Scientology as a thoroughly corrupt and evil organisation, I don't think that their lack of faith or belief in Christ is relevant since many people outside of Scientology also share this view. Scientology may not be a "proper" religion, but then the world religions are hardly a beacon of enlightenment or free from blame for atrocities and abuses.

Scientology should be a lesson about all irrational beliefs, not an up-sell to another erroneous belief system.

  • Their lack of Faith IS relevant when their spokesperson is constantly harping about "My Faith". His FAITH in What? L. Ron Hubard? DM? COME ON. I understand how you feel, but Scientology and "other religions" are dramatically opposed, no matter how bad you feel about any religion. Sure others have abuses, but this is not a religion, it's a cult---and there IS a big difference, per academics who study both. I have no "up-sell" in mind or words, re this topic. Happy Sunday :) Tory/Magoo

  • Hubbard says we made the universe, are trapped in it and OT powers are our original god-like abilities. This dovetails with his Satan-worship (stay with me). Satan sought freedom from God telling his followers that He was putting one over on us all by claiming He was the Creator. For Satan claimed that we created ourselves. That's the whole first half of 'Paradise Lost' and Milton spends the second part overturning the idea of Satan-cum-freedom fighter. Hubbard reckons faith is in ourselves.

  • OK, so these people who have been stripped of everything, and are stuck in this cult, where do they go if they escape? Won't they kind of end up homeless?

  • The only people who end up "with nothing" are those who were "in" the Sea Org--and they only don't have 'stuff', they have tons of ability, family, etc. ALL of them are doing G R E A T. The rest are, too....far better than when "in".

    Happy Sunday :) Tory/Magoo

  • I hope so, its not always easy to takes those first few steps in the real world. I'm sure its very hard to account for all the people who have left the cult in drastic states, emotionally and financially. If it makes you feel better, there are people keeping an eye on the office up here. Its almost empty, and I'm sure the space they are leasing is costing them tons.

  • Tory have you written any books about your story yet?!?! YOU NEED TO! ^_^ MERRY CHRISTMAS !

  • what do Scientologists think of Christ?

  • As part of Scientology, Hubbard never acknowledged Christ--except to say he was part of the many "Implants" as part of OT 3. Some who did the earlier OT 8 said he'd called Jesus Christ a pedophile ...but I never saw it, and they quickly cancelled it. Gross, either way. They pretend to welcome "All religions" when in truth, it's their way, or the highway. (And their way, for Christians, is NOT your way, FYI).

Happy Sunday to all :) Tory/Magoo

  • @Darkromani

Unless people have made gone a long way in Scientology they generally don't know what the founder teaches about Christ, but if you do a youtube search on this subject, you will hear the founder of Scientology telling people there was no Christ.

  • Cool mask in the background =) Really enjoying your videos =)

  • Looks like this video is being flagged down. Scientologists at work again?

  • Question: SOMEBODY is benefitting from all the money the COS is raking in. WHO is benefitting from the MILLIONS that the church is grabbing? Who is enjoying the money?

  • All the high level ones.. mostly miscavidge probably.

  • jas, Staff don't get a percentage. FSM's (Field Staff Members-public who get people onto their next services) get 10% of any money brought in, once the person starts the service. Where is the money? Good questions. It used to be in "Sea Org" reserves. Now? Marc Headley said ALL of the SO reserves are G O N E.

I'm sure Davey boy has *some* stashed away.

The difference in how the Executives live, and the staff is night and day difference, or it used to be. Since Dave has flipped, few have it good.

  • a lot of that money will go to maintenance and capital projects (like building more useless ideal orgs). i thought it was true that as staff member actually gets a cut of any course fees paid by members they recruit (like amway, basically). is that true?

  • Tory - Whoever does your hair should get a HUGE tip this Christmas. Your hair looks stunningly beautiful. GORGEOUS!

  • Thank you,and Yan, for noticing! She cut it, and I agree....it looks great :) Her name is Ophelia, and she's a fabulous hairdresser. Yes, I gave her a gift she loved, as well as her Xmas tip.

    Happy Sunday :) Tory/Magoo
