It just showed that the father and son came full circle in their relationship and how important that project was to his relationships in life which is probably why he didn't initially want to tear it down. I don't have the rest of the movie to upload, but you may be able to find it if you search youtube. It is available on DVD at major retailers and video stores including netflix which is where I first saw it.
