  • my school did all this numbers... firebird in my opinion was good just not the strongest. malaguena on the other hand was outstanding... the drum ft was awesome but it would have bn best to have a more exiting bass line ft!!! all things was pretty good... when my school played this num. we put it together with the contender... really good number... but still good show...

  • 1998's MoHs MB Show was the first time Malaguena was played. Also, that show was when we started the "look" @ the crowd during the walk off! Ahh, the memories...glad I was a part of it!! Good job, company front is always the power point of the show. Not to mention the "park and blow"!! Keep up the good work Mene's, Mr. Seta & Ms. B!!!

  • It may have been the 1st time Malaguena was played in Hawaii or wherever. But the Madison Scouts performed Malaguena in 1988.

  • My favorite part is at 5:19

    Lovee the drum majorssssssssss <333333

  • Oh, my God.

    This was sooo good.

The people complaing about off step, pssssh.

I was to distracted by the music, the forms, and the drum majors to even notice.

My band Played Malaguena This year. It wouldve been soo cool if our drum majors conducted like you guys! O:

    <333333

  • I love the conductor

  • a lot of ppl are off step lol but that was really cool :P

  • JSU did some of these songs lol

  • The Drum Majors are conducting under one of the great and rare to be seen styles of A.R. Casavant and CavalcadeUSA by David Wells. Thanks for sharing!

  • I remember watching this show right before Mililani and always being worried that my senior year of HS would be the year that Moanalua finally beat us. I'm glad it wasn't, but this band is awesome, and they've gotten even better.

  • There are too many ppl off step. terrible. but good music

  • second drum major did a good job keeping time in the middle of everything...and looks funny

  • ok wait, im wrong. im not in this show... sorry!!!!

  • ok im in this show.. but the last song was not called all things bright and beautiful. it was this is the moment from jekyll & hyde on broadway, and this was also in 2002 not 2001.

  • My daughter Kristina is one of the bazillion Colorguard.

  • we did this for our show this year. it was amazing but i love the sound of this bands low brass section. it wonderful!

  • NICE!=)

  • The best drum majors i have ever seen. Awesome band and corps too.

  • They are VEry Good.

  • wow this is really amazing. i personally come from a small band were only 30 people and thats counting colorguard and percussion. and this year we finally made and overall superior so comeing from and extreamlly small band this is a very amazing show.

  • i had 110 members when i went. majorettes, flags,,, but these guns here, i havent seen them since my aunt did that in the 70's. wow, its amazing.

  • The drum major looks like he's about to fly away.

  • considering this is highschool, this is pretty solid, there is alot of off step stuff but the drill looks good and music sounds solid too,

  • lol thanks to seta...good times!

  • horrid performance and cliche, cheesey bando crap. jeesh, the percussion has so many timing problems with front to back and wind ensemble. the drum major is more like a dumm major, with that over the top conducting. this guy looks like a clown.

  • USELESS COMMENT. your conducting looks stupid.

  • i just think the conducting is ridiculous...come to the mainland and look what you're supposed to be doing jeez...

  • this is 2001 stupid. we're graduating from college already. Keep making useless comments that make me laugh.

  • the whole band is off step

  • to be fair, its probably because of the delay. this wasn't filmed from the floor.

  • Old School ... I love it!!!

The company front ... "Z" pull .... Exchange drill HAHA the good old days

Actually sounds better then I remember ... well except the trumpet trio (I can say that cuz I was in it lol)

But like I said Moanalua has come a long way since then

The Moanalua High School Menehune music Program is the only reason why I'm marching Phantom Regiment now

"THANKS TO SETA" Haha (in side joke)

  • dude moanalua high is the best in the 808 state! i go mckinley high though haha

  • i thought it was great, my band would never be able 2 do that, but we always get gold in compitions!!! i play percussion, drums!!! /\ fun playing

  • Malaguena is suppose to b a POWERFUL song. I like how it was performed. Being the first song that i eva marched to and seein other bands play it gives me a idea of what it really needs to sound like. I must say that the bad did a wonderful job of it. The ending was very good.

  • i dont know about that trombone solo... a little sloppy... the tempo was too fast to actually enjoy the solo.

  • i really like the accent on the slurs

  • this is a great show. you guys did great. the arranger should have put in the jazz part. marching staff needs to work on marching and playing. too many tounge cut offs. too blasty and out of tune. work on tone. other than that, the show had energy to spare. the band is obviously talented. keep it up!

  • not to be rude or arrogant or anything, but i'm pretty sure Malaguena is suppose to be a powerful show. Winter Park high school is playing that this year and we own that show. I agree with prepboys1, don't try too hard.

Overall was not bad but a 5A band with that sound, plz.

  • I agree, the great arrangement by Jay Bocook is completely torned. The awesome solo was not even in the show. It is really not band's fault, it is the show designer's mess.

  • I can hear feet in the sound, especially the trumpets.

  • I could write a five page paper about the problems with this band.......To showy...You need to BE good before you can ACT like you're good....in South Carolina 5A State Championships.....dead last...

  • Music wise, you need to work on intonation throughout the brass, also the drumline needed to work it more because it wasn't very clean. Marching was ok, spacing was was off in between each person. G.E. would not have liked this particular performance.

  • I played Malaguena this last yall sounded good!!
