would you be prepared to swap these ted hankey darts for the john bouy walton 90% tungsten 23g darts for these ted hankey darts? if you want to ;pm your adress and i'll send you them for the ted hankey darts (the darts will come with flights stems and case if you want)
did you know thonly reason y ted hankeys darts have no grip is because hes used the same darts ( obv hes changed the stems and flights) for 20 years and when he first had them they had loads of grip on them but through the years hes slowly wore thr grip away :) interesting :)
You keep mentioning the darts surface is completely smooth, and yet my understanding is that that the surface is 'atomised', which I took to mean it is a rough surface. I understand the surface of the dart is flat in the sense there are no contours. But I assume the surface offers plenty grip due to its 'atomised' finish, but without the curves of 'conventionally' design darts? I am wanting to buy these darts so would appreciate any info :)
@WonderersWay - fair do's, maybe not completely smooth then as in they are not shieny. They do have an atomised finished and this does offer some 'feel' when compared to completely smooth darts.
@crazyreidy if you are lookin for darts with no grip search for cheap darts into google then choose the first one and then once your on the site go on select by orice and theres some awseome deals and you can get ted hankey darts for 8-9 pounds with no grip :)
My Purists are so gold because that particular set is only a few months old... and that set lives in the practice board (which is the one I do the reviews on...)
Personally, I always go back to my purists (the ones that I measure the rest against in my reviews) They are perfect for me - weight, length, grip all just what I like.
All the darts that have reviewed have something good about them though - thats why I always try to just explain the dart not criticise it because even if its no good for me it may be perfect for someone else...
I will look into the Eclipse pro hd board. As for info on weights, flight shapes etc - that is very much personal choice and what I prefer, you might just hate - for example - I simple cant throw darts with pear shaped flights!
very good reviews, love the videos, very thorough.been a darts fan for years, just started playing regularly, want 2 improve.would love some basic info on weights of darts(heavy, light, playing difference?) and why different shape flights?are you a pro?u seem very good, please review new eclipse pro hd board!! all the best from ireland

Slightly front end heavy

While this may come across as a grade school type question....do the Ted Hankey darts have a balanced or front end loaded feel?
