Vivian is and always will be the best Dio guitarist. His groove is perfect for Ronnie. Just 21 years old here. Amazing. A really gifted player who hits all the right notes, and the Dio band never sounded better than this!!!! You can tell everyone Vinnie, Jimmy, Claude are happy musically here. Why Doug and Rowan fitted in well is because they were similar stylistically to Vivian.

'kin Ronnie was brilliant. Not only was he a great singer, he was true entertainer. Just look at the way he interacts/makes eye contact with the crowd. The man was real showman. Not a fake.

You're right. He is under-rated. He had the potential to go on to Metal greatness, then "Sacred Heart", Whiskey Tango Foxtrot?

He Fucking BLEW IT!!!. Then he played in Whitesnake, with Sarzo on bass guitar nonetheless.

But he blew that, too!

He ended up in Def Lep.

Dio is right, Campbell is not near the Metal guitarist he could be.

Campbell is a pop guitarist who had long hair for a little while and played with RJD and Dave Coverdale and bitched about having to Solo in MINOR keys!

@Ev105 Campbell is one of the true great guitar players of all time. He has done what he needed to do in order to survive. Dio was where he belong but it didn't workout so he went somewhere else. It's not his fault he's just trying to survive and not starve just like you and me.
