We'd won the league and our inept "Manager" did us in as he didn't have the passion. Our team is still better than your mob and we're still miles ahead financially even with your 10mn CL money. All we need is a better Manager. Fair play to Wattie who knew how to get the most out of a lesser squad. There are only two Rangers starters who are better than ours. The ginger clown lost the league for us, as his absurd tactics and lack of caring lost the league. No worries though, we'll be back.

Pounced was a poor choice of words then, it doesn't really fit.
The UEFA Cup wasn't poor, all the teams we played were in the Champions League the next season anyway so your theory that 4-5-1 only worked in that arena makes no sense. Likewise, the same formation was employed in the Champions League and wasn't found out.

The UEFA cup THIS past year wasn't poor but the one you played in the year before was poor. You were found out in the final though and then proceeded to ransack Manchester. Dignity FC.

The UEFA Cup final was contested by a team we eliminated last year so once again you're tying yourelf in a knot of contradictions. :)
We've won 4 titles this decade given that this decade - 2000, 2003, 2005 and 2009. I loved every one of them and I'll enjoy it again next year.

Werder Bremen spent a good deal of money this past season so this was a different team than the one you beat 2-1 in aggregate. I've not contradicted myself yet, at all. Our 03' Uefa Final team would have pumped your 08' Uefa Cup final team. Would have trounced and pounced you.

I didn't specify whether I was talking about agrregate or not. As it happens I wasn't. Losing 5-0 is worse than losing 2-1. Artmedia were a fluke and I witnessed first hand how poor they were.
Bremen's team were not "clearly superior" and you can get a flavour of this by checking where they finished this season. I would have expected a conessuire of German football to know this already. I'll talk about Manchester when you admit your greatest manager knew about Torbett or call McNeill a liar.

Strachan was an inept Manager for a multitude of reasons, and he was successful by luck in the CL and by facing the worst Rangers squads in recent memory. Any competent Manager would have won even more over the last 4 years with the gap in finances we've enjoyed.

The Jock stein accusations have not been disproved. It came out at court by former boys club players that he knew. Boruc cost celtic a lot. Nearly every goal Rangers hace scored against him in the last two or three years appart from the last goal were his blunder's. La Guen was a good manager, it's characters like Ferguson who made his position untenable. I'd take La Guen at Celtic in a heartbeat. Uve paid the price for signin a load of our cast offs (robson, mark brown, pressley) as well as signin players as soon as we're linked with them (loovens, samaras) and payin well over the odds for players (hesselink, scott brown, & my favourite adam virgo). Thats not just down to strachan, thats the board and all the decision makers at celtic. Based on ure love of rangers ive listed above, ul probly go for le guen or mcleish as ure next gaffer.
