  • adopt from your local pound :)

  • Aw, he's doing his best : )

  • Fucken cute! (: I love dogs,

  • How much is 800 canadian $ in U.S. bills?

  • what a beauty

  • Awww, she looks just like my dog when she was a puppy! It was so great to watch this :-)

  • OMG!! you have the cutest American eskimo I ever saw!!

  • why do eskies always lay down when you say sit?

    ha

  • so cutee :) you can tell he is so eager to please you!

  • what is the difference between these and samoyeds?

  • @viviisalolclown American Eskimo dogs come in 3 different sizes, toy, mini and standard. And samoyeds have a signature "smile".

  • He looks identical to my eskie!

  • love this! i have two Eskie's a girl and a boy.. the girl is very vocal when we come home and the boy is super protective while the girl is as friendly as can be! they are he best dogs to have ever! i love them soo much!.. but training them sadly is not going to happen! LOL all they know is "get in the chair" and "go away" lol always beggin for food!

  • Awww, I think he figures if he goes right to "lay" he'll get a treat faster, haha

  • thats better then my full grown dog

  • Ive always wanted an eskimo named Marco and yours is Polo get it? Marco Polo lol

  • i have an eskie named lemar and he is so awesome he is 9 weeks and i got him yesterday and i love him so much and hes such a chick magnet haha!

  • he is not so well trained

  • OMG!!!! heya POLO CUTIE!!! u small pup!!!! u r sooooooo luvly!!!! seeing him i just remember my eskie when it was just as smalll!!!!!!!!

  • i have a dog like that but his really mean bits everyone

  • I have an eskie as well, He used to get confused when doing tricks but then i started doing hand signals for him while saying which trick to do. the visual helps a lot. and when we are somewhere we should be quiet the signals help SOOO much.

there are no certain signals for each trick, just come up with them on your own. example for sit we make a beak with our hand. you can teach them this at any age. they are so smart they just adapt

  • So smart at such a young age. My dachshund is the same age but only knows the word "No." lol

  • i have an eskimo husky mix...the husky was a white siberian and he's an amazing dog. i couldn't ask for a more well behaved guy and he has the best personality. loves people and dogs and only protective if i act scared. the best dogs

  • lol he automatically assumes you want him to lie day. He did it before you even mentioned it after sit. Just like my eskie haha.

  • :OOO at 0:00 the dog winks! XDD

  • awww! diz makes me even sadder? i had a dog just like dat her name was hennessy nd i dont have her nomore nd i love her wid all my heart nd miss her!

  • we are getting one on 19th dec. My kids are counting the days. Cute.

  • aww he looks so much like my eski was he was a puppy, he is now 11 years old, and i love my old man (my dog) i love my ball of fluff :)

  • Very cute. good job training at that young age. but it's no wonder he gets confused. your speech to him is completely inconsistent, "sit, polo sit, sit" gotta stick to one thing. either sit or polo sit. and "sit again" is not going to make sense to him. either down or lie down, not both. work on that and your dog will be much happier because he will understand what you want.

  • lol

your dog sucks at the tricks, but his cuteness makes up for it

  • @Knoxvicious Actually that dog's pretty intelligent...better than my dogs could ever do anyways. >_<

  • @emzii92 Mine's awful with her barking. It gets worse as they get older too, for some. I hate loud sudden noises, and that's all we get from her lately (she's 7 yo). Other than the God awful noise she's a fantastic dog, incredibly smart, loyal, sweet.

    Good luck with your search.

  • You shouldn't say "no" when scolding a dog, because it's such a common word in english. Like if you're talking with someone and you're like "Oh yeah, I know!" the dog will be sitting there going "what the hell did I do!?"

You should say something like "uh-uh."

    Nevertheless, awesome dog :D!

  • @Poncho151500 no it depends how firm your voice is when you say "no". i say "no" & "know" all the time when i'm not refering to him. and he is still in the happiest mood. but he knows when i'm talking to him when i call his name/look at it him/ and say "no" in a very firm voice. (not screaming or yelling just keeping a firm voice) ot all just depends how the tune of your voice is. trust me i know, i've had him for 11 yrs and still acts the same :) its all in the voice.

  • @xXSquealingPigsXx Ohh, ok. I was just going by what this trainer chick said in our puppy class. Guess both ways would work.

  • @Poncho151500 yeah i would use both, differnt dogs react differenty to different methods.

  • say how big does an eskimo puppy toy size get?? i wanted the medium size but i didnt have enough money. how big does a toysize eski get?

  • @legokiller1997 hmm,...bout the size of a yorkie to the size of a of a big cat. (height)

  • HOW DID U TRAIN THIS PUPPY

  • im thinking about getting an eskie too. how are they with strangers? i want to eventually walk then without a leash so i would want him to stay close to me and also not get too rowdy when someone comes up to pet him or interact with him

  • @flowingx I have an Eskie. They're more interested in protecting you (their property) than interacting with others as a general rule.

You might want to look into a Samoyed. They LOVE people, kids included. Wonderful dog, though a little more willful than an Eskie.

    Good luck.

  • @stockinettestitch not all , mine much would rather have attention then anything else (well food always is his first choice) & i'm not just saying it, i've had him for 11 years. but then no 2 dogs are the same. :)

  • @xXSquealingPigsXx Are you talking about Sammies? Yeah, I had a sad/bad experience with one. He was satan incarnate. (Only half kidding...lol) You're very right about no 2 dogs the same. Just good to hedge one's bets. Say hi to your hairy beast from me. :-)

  • @stockinettestitch haha will do ;D

  • @flowingx if your get him, make sure (as a puppy) you walk the puppy to park to meet all sorts of people, and they will develope a love for other people.

  • so cute :D

  • Some of them could be more vocal than others. I've heard some owners who have yappy eskies and others who doesnt. Polo doesn't really bark except when someone comes home.. he goes off for a little while cuz he's so excited.

  • i have a little eskimo.....hes 4 now.....but when he was little, all we could teach him was sit....i remember snowbie that small ^^

  • FAIL

  • are these dogs easy to train/house train? are they good with other dogs?

  • Oh yes they are very smart dogs. I litter box trained my dog, it took a couple days. Polo is an exception to the typical american eskimo personality, or so I've heard from many vets and people, as he's so friendly and has no signs of aggression or protectiveness. But I have heard that eskimos are generally protective, and some do not like other dogs.. but I think if you socialize them when they are young, they should get along with other dogs no problem.

  • How much should one expect to pay for a pure Eskimo puppy? Thanks

  • i got him for 800 canadian. Its a good price from local breeders. You can probably get one for cheaper depending on where you currently reside. Its more rare in Vancouver.

  • @iyg8288 I think my dog is part american eskimo...we only know that she is part cattle dog,she looked almost exactly like this when she was a puppy except she has orange and brown "freckles" on her face and body.she squeals alot and whines instead of barking,do you think she is part american eskimo?

  • i am jealous of anyone that has an american eskimo dog. they're my favorite dogs ever but my parents won't let me get one because they say we already have enough animals in our house. :|

  • aww he is so cute i want one really badly

  • I HAVE AN ARMY OF CHIHUAHUAS!!!

  • its so cute i hav one but mine is black

  • Awww it's like a little marshmallow

  • stop abusing the dog!! poor thing doesnt know if hes coming or going.

  • He looks just like mine! I love these dogs!

  • I have a dog just like that, but a little older.

  • awesome mines a mini!

  • Beautiful!

  • so cute!!!! :D

  • he is so cute. is he a toy, mini, or standard?

  • he is so cutie

  • lol i have a german shepherd righ tnow 2

  • MarcoPolo is very funny at 1:02. He's so cute! I used to have 1 named Daisy : ) She was very sweet, but she had a funny trick to our other German Shepherd, Ossie..."Daisy, get Ossie!" So funny! Eskies are sweet little cute fluffballs!

  • very good for a 3 month of puppy!

  • Eskies are the cutest things in the world.

  • lol aww my minitchure american eskie puppy does sit down shake stay come hi-5 and shes only 4 months

  • @boredperson621 I stuff eskimo puppies in paper bags and sell them on the streets and turn them into lampshades.

  • @boredperson621 Oh Canada!

  • aww i want one x3

  • he seems so excited lol

  • I have an American Eskimo and he's about 11 years old. He's a good dog.

  • @JustLikeSuperbad NOBODY CARES.

  • cute!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • aw its so cute! how old is he now?

  • Oh, this is far too precious! This little guy reminded me of my AE, Madyson. (RIP). He would go through the whole trick routine before he did the proper command. What they wont do to get a treat....or win your heart!

  • so cute! i used to have a mini American Eskimo too named Glacier :)

  • ah ha ha ha ha he didnt listen well to his owner xD

    †Shelke The Transparent†

  • I also have and miniature alaskan/american ( I dont know the difference) he looks just like this dog here! OMG!!!

  • Cute vid! What size? I have an eski named Koda he is toy size.

  • He's adorable and seems to be very good-natured. He also looks a lot like my old American Eskimo (who died in July at age 15) looked when she was a puppy back in 1993.

I've got two other American Eskimos at home and neither looks like Polo or Powder, so it was quite a treat to see this cute video 'cause your good dog reminds me of my good, old dog.

Thanks for posting this and please post more!

  • This dog is so cute! Is he a standard size, miniture, or a toy?
