Andy Summers does a message in a bottle guitar lesson on youtube. I think in the chorus he adds a chord voicing in A??? in an offbeat mode. It is very difficult guitar maneuver, could you elaborate on that part. You will have to watch Andy Summer's lesson on youtube to see what I mean.

in the intro, when you play the last chord the F# part, you're saying 2 fret 6th, 4 fret 5th and 6 fret 4th... then the 6 fret 3rd. the song actually goes after the 6 fret 4th a slide to the 7th fret on the same string. so it note terms it goes F#, C#, A#, A. you have the rest right. only that one mistake with the F# stretch

The last (fourth in sequence) note on the F sharp minor sequence should be a slide (using the pinkie) from G sharp to A. You are playing G sharp then C sharp which is why is sounds off.
