  • yah I can't watch House anymore.

  • I always wonder if actors knew the scope of the project.. I mean did they have any idea how incredible this film was going to turn out to be.

  • I don't know, but I can tell you that the production was very big.

Philadelphia was build the way it use to be, same for Boston as well as a full size boat in the middle of the countryside of Virginia. Thousands of people participated... I think there was a hint.

  • I'm sure you're right.. I've been involved in a couple of small sets for the history channel and I remember thinking how cheesy it seemed on these sets.. but when the edit came together I was rather impressed with what was accomplished.

  • @greenboychaz That's so cool! haha as an actress myself I love behind the scenes stuff :) It's always so much fun. And yeah sometimes it's hard work, but your actually getting payed to play pretend. haha :)

  • Hey, I'm one of the young French Naval Officers in the slide show and video, watch the second episode in the series and you'll see me at the dinner party on board the ship, it was a pretty amazing shoot that night, we were up past six in the morning!!! It was still very fun though.

  • Oh how I envy you and your experiences, Greenboychaz

  • george washington is mr. turner.

    ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

  • omg that scares me too lol

  • i know! it's freaky, and he's a jack ass cop on House lol it's weird to think of him as George Washington :)

  • Lespierre wasn't that the most boring shit in the world? Just sitting there for like 8 hours doing nothing but waiting... and waiting... and waiting... OH its lunch time!...... WAITING.... I was with the french mob. Can't remember the date.

  • Methinks you give humanity too much credit, sir.

  • Yes, Jovian, and had the servants/slaves/poor succeeded the result would likely have been akin to the French revolution. Truth is, the govn. set up under Adams/Jefferson was a remarkable accomplishment, setting the standard for a society that fostered a more peaceful, financially mobile populace, and paving the way for reforms that were to come. I wouldn't be so quick to judge those times anachronistically.

  • blood letting does help fight illness preventatively. it reduces the level of iron in the blood, which most bacteria thrive in.

  • the white servants, slaves and poor of the collonies tried like 24 times to rebel and take over power from the land barrons, but they were violently killed by slow burning and other means of execution. they even tried after the revolution which was sponcered by the landowners. Sam adams once said "In monarchy the crime of treason may admit of being pardoned or lightly punished, but the man who dares rebel againts the laws of a republic ought to suffer death." he then passed the riot act.

  • I woulnd't want live in that time period. if you didnt own land you couldn vote. you had to be rich to run for office. and chances are i'd be a white servant and get my toes cut off for fraternising with my female counterparts. it was not a democracy. collonial live was set up like a feudal state.

  • Love the women's dresses in the stills. They look almost like French clothing? Maybe extras used for the France scenes?

  • Where the fuck am I? I was in the movie too y'know. damn it! if I knew he was filming for youtube I would have hunted his ass down and got on cam. lol, oh well, I guess you'll have to wait until it comeso TV to see me :(

  • I know one of the kid actors here (William Yelton) goes to my school.

  • i wish i lived in that time period

  • I wouldn't want to die of the pox.

  • People back then probably wouldn't want to die of our AIDS either.

  • Indeed, AIDS is the scourge of our time.

At least we have modern medicine and knowledge these days to improve quality of life instead of blood letting and "inoculation".

Above all else, this is an incredible series and I enjoyed in thoroughly. The performances of all involved were remarkable. Kudos!

  • Aids is a man made disease, back then they actually had hearts.

  • AIDS is a preventable disease... 1.) Don't have gay sex. 2.) Don't do drugs IE: Share needles. It always finds a way to be seeped into a conversation, regardless of the topic of discussion.

  • Not just gay sex, professor.

  • Sounds like you partake in one or both. For the sake of my tax money, don't share needles and/or use a condom when indulging in your demented endeavors.

  • Haha! You're hilarious. Keep it up!

  • I know what you want kept up. Sicko.

  • lol
