  • ol' skool supercool

  • Do you have the Kapp album where he play Beyond the Blue Horizon?

  • Sorry, I wished I did. I even checked and thought it was on the Harbor Lights or the Beyond the Sea LPs.

  • excellent. have that album also. his melodies on that xmas album contain joy.humourous.solemn.fast.

  • I own John Gart's 1927 Steinway piano and am very fond of his style of arranging and playing. John wrote out every note of each arrangment he created - truely an educated musician. Great video here!

  • Thanks. Yes, John Gart put out some great albums on Kapp Records and this album has to be my all-time favorite as well as his South of the Border album. Right now, I own about four other albums and looking for others by him.

  • Nice video, this is the best version I've heard

  • hahah awesome with the snowflakes!!!

  • I used to have the LP "Marches in Stereo (Hi-Fi)" where it does have "March of the Toys". But this LP had a rare Kapp label with the name "Merry Christmas" on it. Later copies of that album had the Kapp logo with a marching uniform cap on there from the early 60's and another one from the mid 60's had a similar uniform cap with the black label.
