Dennis Pennis was a comic character (by comedian Paul Kaye) who interviewed stars and messed about. I think Jean Claude 'got the joke' (he is European after all) and replied well

Well done to both - funny but not a belly laugh like some of the 'stars' he did.

Paul Kaye doesn't do Dennis Pennis now - he's and actor as well and did have a major part in at least one major UK tv drama series.
