@shouwabisuke 'Record of a Tenement Gentlemen" is the English Title - though that title sounds a bit quaint in English . The Romanization of the Japanese Title is "Nagaya Shinshiroku" (長屋紳士録)

i like this so far. i've never seen an ozu film before, i was afraid it'd be too slow+undramatic. the music is nice+the kid, while not seeming a great actor, acts genuinely sad+forlorn. with a simple situation it gets your interest from the get-go. and "pees like a horse" was funny.
