Personally I will never buy another pair of Shift gloves unless they totally redesign them. The synthetic material on the tips is totally trashed after one season and that was stretching it. Love my Shift jacket...really don't get how they failed so bad in the glove department.
@varulalin We are big fans of the Overlord Short Glove, but we tried to limit this to our top six picks, so the Overlord didn't make the cut. It's definitely a very protective and comfortable short cuff glove that'll be great for aggressive sport riding in the summer.
@madhatterni Hey Hatter, I don't think the 4 Stroke gloves are overkill for a Ninja 650R at all. They feature race-inspired protection but short cuff comfort, and honestly, the break-in time is next to none. They are comfortable right out of the box. These are one of our top sport glove picks for this season. Hope this helps!
Quick question... are any of those gloves "aggressive"? I've been looking for a really aggressive pair. So sick of those lame-ass passive ones that won't stand up for themselves. I'm looking for one that'll start its own fights.
I wear a scorpion Cool hand mesh gloves xl. My g/f tells me their not up to her standards in protection. Even made me up date my helmet from a scorpion exo 1000 to a shoei rf 1100. What be a great glove that offers an aggressive look but enough protection?
@madhatterni Hey Mad, out of this bunch I think your best choice would be the brand new Alpinestars SMX-2 Air Carbon Gloves. They have an aggressive style to them and feature carbon fiber knuckle armor, foam padding protection and reinforcements in the palm. They also come in six different colors if you want to match them up with your bike's paint scheme. Hopefully your g/f approves!
I dont know if it is considered a short cuff, but really love my Alpinestar S-1 glove. Comfy and good quality leather glove, but more what I would call a 3/4 glove.

What's the circumference of your hand?
Knowing this will help a great deal in understanding the fit of the gloves you review.
