Torus Trooper on FC6 (levels 39 - 41 Extreme!)

I wonder of this game inspired Gyrostarr, a WiiWare game that has pratically the same concept. Of course, unlike Gyrostarr, this game is actually fun :D

Not to mention, Torus Trooper IS FREE!!

Actually if you watch carefully, you'll see I hit 10,000Km/H several times.

how do you get that fast? i find it hard enough to reach 4000 and i see you just gain speed out of nowhere

On the lower levels, your speed is somewhat restricted, but once you get past a certain level, you can reach 10K or faster.

Also (and this one stumped me the first couple of times I played it) sometimes you have to remember to hit the up arrow key to regain speed, because otherwise you lose momentum, and will never reach a high speed. Just keeping your finger pressed on the key, doesn't seem to work, you have to keep hitting it now and then.

It's a shame youtube butchers the beauty of this so much.. and, no offense to ya, because I haven't gotten a run that good, or anywhere close, but brakes and slowing down is for wusses :P

Extreme is pretty crazy. I'm a big fan of games like Torus Trooper, Shooter's Solitude 4, Rayhound, and rRootage.

"Extreme" is the best and most challenging thing that you'll get out of this game. It is simply addicting.

Too bad the time limit can't be removed, i want a "free race" without any end.

It can't be removed, but if you play good (or just destroy enough of those purple things) you can play for a rather long time. I don't know what my longest run concerning level is . Btw you unlock a level as soon as you finished it, so you can start at the last level again. I'm at 400 now. :d (Took a while)

It was the way it was recorded - there was no audio, so I just added the in-game music later.
