This is one of the best movies I saw in my life. And even if I'm only 16, I've seen a lot of movies!! I think that if Johnny Depp hadn't played Jack, Jack wouldn't have been so brilliant!

It seems terribly ignorant to argue that LOTR has "nothing useful to offer" and holds no lessons for its readers to take. Each series has its good qualities. There's nothing to compare.

I jumped over a row of seat, ran along the backs of the chairs in the row, hopped over the half-wall, and then walked out like i belonged. There had to be new characters, but there was really only Blackbeard and Angelica. Gibbs and Barbossa are old characters. @Eviastt Sry I correct myself, i have meaned too much and too fast^^ But yes you're right. Some of the old characters were still in the film like Barbossa (my favourite in the 4th part). But you know the dumbass on the ship wasn't as funny as the old ones. Also I don't like the movie, because I haven' got the caribbean feeling with the salt wind in the air.... Part 4 was completely in/on caves and cliffs.
In the middle of the movie Barbossa has reloaded all canons, but didn't start a seafight..
@LordUni123 He didn't start the sea fight because the Spanish weren't interested in fighting them, and they'd be wasting ammunition.
And I agree that there wasn't the Caribbean feeling, but might be due to the fact that it was filmed in Hawaii instead of the Caribbean like the rest. I liked it, personally. ^-^ However, I can see where you're coming from now that you said why you don't like it.
@Eviastt Iwas only mentioned the point where the director COULD potentially make some characteristic PoC battles. Also, I wonder why they put this needless scene into the movies. I mean, is it necessary to point our that the spanish crown isn't interested in arresting the Englishmen. Logically they would capsize the enemies and went the way to the fountain alone. Aslo I must point out, that they went to different direction in that sscene, so they couldn't be the first in reaching the cups...
@LordUni123 They had to get the mermaid's tear, the spanish didn't because they didn't want to drink from the fountain of youth, they wanted to destroy the cups and the fountain, so they wouldn't have had to take the time to capture a mermaid. And exactly where would they have put PoC battles? There was that huge battle at the end, the battle between Angelica and Jack, etc. The scene showed just how determined the spanish were, Barbossa even said they didn't want to waste time to sink them.

i remember when this movie came out. I was 11-12. And I didnt really lok at the actors yet, I jsut seen it. It was an amazing movie and it still is. I can watch all 3 of them and not get bored everytime. Even if I know wat happens. I think I am going to go watch it now. Have a POTC marathon

@Xxmusiclover982xX For whoever can does that have good taste in movies such as this. The music makes it better for me, now that I pay more attention to it. I just love this movie. In my opinion, I like this one the best, then At Worlds End, then Dead Man's CHest. Dont get me wrong I like Dead Mans Chest, its jsut there is something there about the other 2 that beats it. Even though I will say the Final fight scene with the Kraken is AMAZINGLY EPIC!!!
