Oh my gosh... I played this game when I was sooooo young, I only remember this theme. It's weird because the song just triggered something in my mind.
they dont make megaman or megaman x games like this anymore a lost age of megaman this was always my day after school or weekend back before game fly when you had to buy or rent from a video store this game was the shit back in the day. this and x4 two of my faves ! rock on megaman!!!
I remember when I first got X3. I was young, totally infatuated with games, especially the Mega Man series. I found this game in a bargain bin at a local video store along with MM7. Lucky price since it's so rare and pricey. I remember being very excited and played it instantly upon arriving home. I was thoroughly impressed with it and when Mac made his appearance in the first stage I flipped out since my name is also Mac. I said "Mom, I am in the game, look!" lol. Amazing feeling. Amazing game.
Megaman X3 has some kickass music, like Blast Hornet, Crush Crawfish, Gravity Beetle, and Doppler stages. But it also has some really horrible tracks like Tunnel Rhino and Blizzard Buffalo.
Growing up, I would always rent games from the store, and this was the one game that was NEVER in,you would have to book it in advance 3 months just to rent it, when it finally came in for me, I must have gotten about 2 hours of sleep in the 3 day period that I had it.
The playstation version of this game ruined the amazing music. I also died inside when I found out in the Anniversary collections they used the PS version music :(
Hey guys, Big news! I just went to the Flea Market saturday and I found out that they still sell old games there! From NES, to 360=D! Yep, I'm not kidding, they still have the NES and even the games! It's at the Osceola Flea Market, If any of you live at Osceola or at least next to it, you definitely got to check out that market, It has a truckload of systems and games from the past, and best of all, the SNES games are only 5.00 $ =D
I do. And frankly I think they should have stayed with using guitar music for each game that followed afterwards. Cuz it's this kind of music that gives games like this it's flair and atmosphere.
@YourOwnEnvy And if the music is great, like this, or Gauntlet: Dark Legacy's Desecrated Temple theme, it really sets the mood and puts you in the character's shoes. Y'know?
@crapheadandidiot This is true indeed. The beginning of the stage is kind of annoying (all of those enemies shooting projectiles at you), but perhaps I think so due to being constantly distracted by the music. :)
@YourOwnEnvy The SNES sound chip is a fucking miracle. So much awesome music was made in it, including all of the Mega Man X, FInal Fantasy and so much more!
Lol I don't blame you=] I was playing a few minutes ago but it's a little hard using the keyboard for it,but once you get use to the controls,it's easy=]
They always use to have games like this at the Flea Market, but since time past, they don't DX but at least you could get the emulator,or you could go to New York lol XD
I love this song! Man, I really regret that they used the saturn version in the anthology. This version was far superior! I play the rom quite frequently.
I remember I used to play this stage over and over again just to hear this music! I instantly fell in love with it. This, combined with Zero's theme that comes shortly afterward (also my favorite), make it an overall awesome stage and my most favorite intro to a megaman game =)
oh man i hope they come out with a time machine sometime soon!
@exodiahunter87 True , i punched everyone who dissed him :D , in fact that Mega Man would bust the Shit out of them xD until Zero comes out of nowhere to tell him thats enough xD
Your idea is actually, a really good one and you're right about the loading times. In addition, it's much harder to harm a cartridge than a disc.
The problem is that it would be incredibly expensive. Mass producing cartridges with 32 gigs would be very, very pricey. I doubt it would be less than 60-70 bucks a pop. Maybe more.
wouldn't work unless its a handheld, its not about the technology but the production of the product, blu ray and dvd disks are quick and easy to produce usually only for cents on the dollar. but to make a small hdd to play as a cartridge it would be too far of a cost. one day there will be no discs either, just direct downloads. technology shifts towards innovation and cheaper alternatives.
Ah, I can just think of the feeling everyone felt, when they first played this stage..." Ok, X got frozen by someone, probably have to go to a 'breaking out' style stage" but NO! The roof caves in and in drops ZERO!!!XD
I hear you. When I was looking for the collection edition for the gamecube I was lucky to get the last copy at the EB games store. I couldn't believe it.
i remember those old days were the graphics aren´t the most important fact, now if the game has bad graphic every1 call it "bad" but megaman x and classic series shows u that the graphics doesn´t care too much because they´re hard and funny even if they don´t have the better graphics in the world.
Yeah, X3 was the first X game with eight capsules. Also, the story isn't really heavy or anything like in the later games...so take with this what you will. I think the different style of the earlier games doesn't necessarily make them superior, but rather good in a different way from that of the later games, which I also really like. In other words, I tend to enjoy all Mega Man games, but in different ways.
This is so untrue. Every gaming generation has graphics as one of, if not the, main selling point. It says "State-of-the-Art High Resolution Graphics" right on the top of the original NES Mega Man box.
Well the thing is, these games actually had great graphics and sprites. The problem is that the proportions of X, Zero, and everyone else in Mega Man X4 and after were all fucked up compared to the SNES games. Everyone just looked tall and lanky. They should have stuck with the SNES games' style.
As for this song, a fucking great way to start a great game!
lol i have all the megamans my cousin is only 9 and thought graphics were everything until i got him to play mmx i wonder about the gen of kids with games will halo ever have the status of megaman or sf series i think not

To my last comment regarding cartridge video games coming back.
Yeah a 500GB laptop hard drive is expensive so maybe go down to 80GB... those hover around 50-60 dollars.
In any case you are getting better gameplay with the no loading screens and superior amounts of data than that of a blu-ray.
I hope I'm not missing some big flaw in this...
SO REPLY... THINK ITS A GOOD IDEA?
noximputesta 2 years ago
Your idea is actually, a really good one and you're right about the loading times. In addition, it's much harder to harm a cartridge than a disc.
The problem is that it would be incredibly expensive. Mass producing cartridges with 32 gigs would be very, very pricey. I doubt it would be less than 60-70 bucks a pop. Maybe more.
I'm no expert, but that's how I see it.
Daramue 2 years ago 2
We will have to prolly wait until Solid State drives are easier and cheaper to reproduce.
noximputesta 2 years ago

ragglefragglecalp 2 years ago
I wish they would bring back cartridge video games back.
I mean back then they were limited because ROM size was so small. But nowadays we can fit 32GB on a Micro SD card!!!
So heres how I figure it. If cartridge games were revived, they'd be like little 500GB Laptop Hard Drives you plug into your gaming system!!!
Lots of space to make a game and provide movies for storytelling. And NO LOADING SCREENS!
Even a blu-ray doesn't hold that amount of info.
noximputesta 2 years ago
