i remember having a cassette of these guyz its fucking weird i couldnt remember the name i thought malvation did they have many tapes whats there 1st album
this is complete horse shit. i can't believe anyone would listen to this. fuck you all if you think this is cool. i hope you get the plague and die in front of your family
Retribution changed it for me. I was a changed man after that album. Alex Marquez ruled back then. Where the fuck is he? Rob Barret has always been my favorite G-Tar player, right up there with Trey.
Same here. Before I got into death metal, I was just like Dukeman. Than I picked up Retrubution and The 10 Commandments in 1992 for my birthday and that shit changed my life. I've been a fan ever since.
As for Alex Marquez, he got offered to do drums for the second album by Divine Empire (Jason Blachowicz's band after leaving Malevolent Creation) called Doomed To Inherit. He was staying at Jason's house and after the album was done, Alex stole some stuff from Jason like 2 TV's to pawn them support his drug habit.
Jason than caught Alex somewhere and I'm not sure what happened by they both ending up going to jail. Last time I heard, Alex had started another band. You can find info on that at Metal Archives.
Last chance you're offered Grap the cash and run Grand theft committed Worse form of a con The path you leave behind With the damage done Live a life of crime You're the guilty one Traidor Cuidate del triador Traidor Cuidate del traidor
Your small mind altered By the drugs you take Convinced of your own lies You've become a fake Take what is not yours Back into hiding Your acts are corrupt Far from law abiding Traidor Cuidate del traidor Traidor Cuidate del traidor
I saw them open up for Obituary and Cannibal Corpse in Detroit back in 1992, they all sounded amazing! Too bad the show ended early during the Obituary set because a bunch of douchebag skinheads showed up and began knocking things over and starting fights with the longhairs!
That's the same tour I saw them on. It was Obituary, with Cannibal Corpse, Agnostic Front, and Malevolent Creation. That was a bad ass show! Makes me wish I could go back in time, since Obituary was my favorite band back then. Volleyball! Join me! Slowly We ROT!!
Fucking awesome, all I can say is fucking awesome! Thanks for posting all of these excellent videos of Brett, also bt the way the songs are masterpieces,of course.

Most DM drummers are pretty mediocre, but Marquez is the shit. He's got a good feel and his timing is impeccable.

Jason actually wrote a song about the incendent. It's on the Divine Empire album Nostradamus. It's called Cuidate Del Traidor. Here are the lyrics.

Stabbed into the back
Your kind you betray
Lie into my face
False are the words you say

I wonder what happened to Alex Marquez. He joined Resurrectio
