my high school has a lot of 12 inch daytons there all black they run pretty quietly that could be there more dirty than a long time used hasssock fan but i like them there usually in the science classrooms for obvious reasons great fans!
good that someone knows about their motor terminology. these type of motors are the better choice for industrial settings and last longer because they are sealed

its a TEAO motor, they typically don't need to be oiled

If it's ball bearing no... they don't. But whether it's TEAO or OPAO, if it has sleeve bearings, it needs oiling.
From the looks of it, that motor appears to be the ball bearing type. I didn't see any oil ports on it.
