Independents have been the majority for quite awhile now. They tend to take t Ron Paul & Dennis Kucinich even if they disagree on a few topics, at least they speak te truth & fight for we the people. I'd like to take them, Bernie, & a few others who are not bought & paid for & sart a new, honest party. Maybe the tea parties, altho started for wrong reasons, can develop into freedom, peace & the pursuit of happiness once again.

shaunie, maybe that's because true conservatives know there is no place for liberalism in America. The dems have a clear chance at taking over and never allowing us any voice in govt again. They will load the courts, etc.

Sounds like the Declaration of Independence may need to be updated and re-presented to the Obama-Reed-Pelosi trio who think they can steal a nation. Do they think the military will cooperate? Or will they leave our boys stranded overseas????

Well OK a lot of what you just said is debatable, to say the least. But this is my point - it is to be debated, just like the comments below marked as "spam".

The comment wasn't an ad, nor was it irrelevant. It is not spam. And all I'm saying is that it is telling that the comment was marked, instead of addressed. I think that is a big part of the reason that "conservatives" are going to lose the US election.

shaunie, real conservatives and liberals know there is no mixing of beliefs or policies. You bought into the democrat deception. They are socialists, meaning government runs everything and they are in control, not The People. Just look at what they did in stealing $700 billion against the will of The People. If conservatives lose the election you can bet it is the Dem Deception. I bet you believe the economy is Bush's fault, too. I bet you bought into Pelosi's denial of Dem duplicity in it, too.

I don't believe "the economy" is Bush's fault - I believe that the government typically has very little influence on the economy.

shaunie, okay. In this case I believe the Congress under Democratic liberals had great negative influence on the economy by bringing socialist ideals into housing policies. If they had used conservative capitalist ideals they could have reached their housing goals without crippling the economy. Socialism just does not work. That's why there's no mixing beliefs or policies. It was nice talking to you. I'm sorry you chose to stop the discussion.

Exactly, true conservatives aren't allowed to run. We can have people who call themselves 'conservatives', but behave like liberals, or we can have people who call themselves 'liberals' and behave like liberals. Those are really the options here. The world is moving further and further to the left, toward socialism, because the wealthy elites who run the world want a socialist world under them. They don't want capitalism for you, so that you can join them. Those chairs are already spoken for.
