警察が「責任」を取らないなら、実名報道はやめるべきだと思って­ます。これは、そこは描かれてなかったでしたっけ。

ちなみに、女性に「キス」とか、スカートの中撮影とか、それは酷­いことではあるけども、報道から受ける実際の社会的制裁を考える­と、それは実名報道すべきじゃないと思います。ほとんど、死刑と­同じくらいダメージを与えますからね。

いずれ、警察の怠慢です。ひとはあまっているのに、OBのための­仕事ばかかりしてるから、こういうことになるんだと思います。な­かにはいいおまわりさんもいるんでしょうけど、警察学校で洗脳さ­れるとか、へんな件数ノルマもやるべきじゃないと思います。

裁判官も１審でちゃんとやってほしい。っていうか、感覚ズレてる­んですかね？

たぶん、２審では無罪勝ち取れるかもしれませんけど、なんか怖い­ですよ。

I stopped donating Japan after watching this movie.

I love Japan very much, and it is unfortunate that Japan was stricken by earthquake, tsunami, and the nuclear disasters.

But on the basis of the judical disaster in Japan, like the case in the film, I may pray for J-people, but I will NEVER donate them!

Interesting, the trailer made the accuser look like a girl trying to get an attention from her crush. While Teppei's response look as if he denying the action he did.

The Japanese title seems to be ambigious, a much more truer translation is "Even so, I didn't succeed". Either meaning clearing his name or even getting THAT far with her.

While the English title sounded like something Bart Simpson would say.

@OrinokawaMizuki I don't know Japanese, but one thing I do know. It was based on a true story and the bloke who was accused for groping was finally acquitted. But still, we'll never know the truth.

@OrinokawaMizuki The translation of やってない does not mean "didn't succeed". やる is as far as I know exchangable with する in an abstract sense, though they do tend to get used in different places. やる does get used more often in sexual contexts, for example. The phrase やった！ as "I did it!" does imply success, but AFAIK this does NOT carry over to all uses of やる.

GREAT MOVIE!!! Just watched it all yesterday and the night before that. Wow...very well done. It got a little...I would say...slow during the middle and repetitious - but that just brings out how trials are.

Loved the ending (not what actually happens)...but the monologue.

God that 99.9% conviction rate...not always good you know.

Yeah, most courts are in fact slow and repetitious. In short, they're just a battle of the stamina. Though this trailer made the courts look more emotional than what they are.

With the low amount of cases brought to court and the high conviction ratio, presumeably most incidents in Japan were settled OUTSIDE court.

A 0% conviction rate would be way much better though.

Since a 100% conviction rate or nearing it is actually not something good to be bragged about.

Yeah, it's pretty much an ambigious movie. While the movie look as if it's attacking the Japanese justice system, it actually can go either way (in the trailer, Teppei don't look so innocent).

The real life template of Teppei is an university professor, a much more desireable target than Teppei (which had less high profile), since the accuser or manipulator can use the case to attack his profession and his affiliations. And the supposed crime is even more less, looking at panties.
