This is a Queensland b'cast received in New South Wales, actually. Good quality for 890 miles, esp. with a closer station b'casting on the same channel. (It's in the description.)
While I'm at it, nice instrumental of Penny Lane there. :-)
Likewise ABC2 could be received in Mackay QLD under the right conditions. So strong in fact that a beat up old portable B&W set with half a rabbit ear would pull it in noise free from my back door steps.
I sadly miss the old test pattern in particular the Phillips one. The last station here in Perth that used to show that test pattern was TVW-7 Perth back in 2000 but like everyone else, they too now broadcast 24/7
How come this recording loses sync when loses signal? Maybe it's because you recorded on a old VCR.

Do I understand correct if I assume this is an English broadcast received in Australia? If so, the quality is quite good.

It is good to see this test pattern again, but why is the picture so fuzzy?
Otherwise, thanks too for uploading this to YouTube.

Because of the distance the signal is picked up. As it says it was picked up from 890 Miles (1424 kms) Away

Thanks for uploading these to Youtube. Do you have any footage of the SBS / 0-28 Phillips PM544's at all ?

Yeah and its not like 24/7 broadcasting has improved TV at all.
