There was also a massive naval battle going on that was arcanians and was equally impressive and wouldve resulted in the spartans getting masacred if they didnt win it.  Also it was one traitor it was a another race allied with sparta who were meant to be guarding a back passage but didnt bother

spartans were the best warriors of all time, yeah so they were defeated but it was 1 city, of couse theyu were going to loose and when alexander the great was on his conquest he couldn't defeat the spartans, he had to make a peace treaty and have a aliance. that proves that spartans were the best warriors ever!

@daguangrong He wasn't really a dumbass. He was the only Hellenistic General to beat Roman armies on the field. Sure they were close, but they were still victories nonetheless. He wasn't a terrible general, he was just unlucky, and too impetuous. He would have made a better officer methinks.

(released now are rome, medieval, empire(revolutionary war) and napolean.) they advance through the ages, so if you don't like those, wait and maybe they'll come out with a more modern one.

when i did this historic battle it took me over an hour and when i got to the town square i still had elephants and other units (bout 150 man) and my men surrendered, the spartans only had one small squad of hopilites! omg i was so pissed why did this happen?
