While I agree that SOME Isrealies are just as radical as SOME of the Islamic states surrounding it, Isreal is litterally fighting for their lives. Sotomayor will ultimatly be confirmed and that is unfortunate. She is not impartial when it cones to questions of critical importance. While I believe she is a good jurist, the Supreme Court requires exceptional Judges. Sotomayer is arguably guilty of race based discrimination and judicial activism.

People should be aware of the New Haven Conn. case of the highly qualified Firefighter who's test was thrown out just because he is caucasian. Hypocracy has no place in our nations highest court

Why not apathy? I never trusted the government since Nixon-in fact I never registered to vote and I'm damn proud of it. I was about to register to vote for the first time thinking, well, maybe-but my distrust of the government is too overwhelming. Call it my own protest. Obama said he was going to get a shelter dog. Got him millions of votes and MORE campaigns AGAINST Palin-McCain. It worked-but proves Obama a liar using homeless animals for votes. What got this dog thing started? MCAIN was leading and polls said they would vote for McCain because he owned a dog. So Obama got on the band wagon and started that "Baby" campaign. Fact is it was merely a political intervention to get votes so when he went into office, he got a breeder dog in a very sneaky manner. This told me a lot about Obama, and I too am quite thankful I never registered to vote.
